Honest Abe Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 You can thank The Bulldog Classic in Nederland for the match up against Ball. ;D

What I mean is I remember when the tigers played Channelview and won their tournament and the smiley games and the 5a tournament in Georgetown and winning the Lufkin pineywood and American press tournament in lake Charles those were fun times I know time has changed but just wondering
Silsbee played Galveston Ball close last year. Silsbee will be playing in the Nederland tourney and Woodville tourney again. They are scheduled to play in the Big Sandy tourney but I was told they are looking to change that to possibly getting back in the YMBL, but not sure if that would happen. The non-district schedule is a little better this year. Coach Sigler getting hired late will keep him from changing the schedule much. I look for the schedule to remain like it is and then next season Joe can schedule how he wants.
no-look Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Any nurseing homes on the schedule this year?

Also, Silsbee will not be playing in the Big Sandy tourney but instead play in the YMBL. They are looking for a replacement for the Woodville tourney.

They have not settled on a replacement for the Woodville tourney. Local tourneys the same week as the Woodville tourney: Gamble (PAM), East Chambers, and Barbers Hill. I am 100% certain that Silsbee will not play in the Barbers Hill tourney, pretty sure they will not play in East Chambers. Most likely the James Gamble or a tourney in the Houston area that Silsbee will replace the Woodville tourney.

With them playing in the Nederland tourney, that's two very good tourneys on their schedule, most likely the smallest school in those tourneys, literally and figuratively. I wouldn't mind seeing them play in the East Chambers tourney to fill out their tourney schedule.

BADSANTA Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Silsbee was small last year as well. DC was the difference but a team full of guards can be scary with the kind of skill set they have.

MBaller#1 Posted September 21, 2011 Author Report Posted September 21, 2011 I know that Silsbee is going to the bank one tournament in Sherman this year and maybe soon going back Louisiana for a big tournament there as well
BADSANTA Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 It's not important to go 32-1 and come home early! I'd rather see them have a respectable record like 23-9 and have played quality 4A and 5A teams. Nothing against Woodville or BMT Kelly but those teams are good as HJ, Central, or some of the teams in the Sherman Tourney!

BADSANTA Posted October 20, 2011 Report Posted October 20, 2011 Yes that is exactly what I'm saying! Neither of those teams can play with in 40 points of Silsbee most nights. I look forward to see who will step up as a lead for Silsbee this year.
