77 Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Thomas is at the end of his high school eligibility, this cant be good.http://www.kogt.com/kogt_sports.htm
AggiesAreWe Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 The question is, why was this just now becoming an issue? Shouldn't folks involved know about this well before the season started and address this then instead of week 0 of this football season? And I am speaking in more of the parents and JT knowing this, not the coaches. Also, why the reports of him being injured as to why he missed the scrimmages and week 0 game? Was he actually practicing? From what I understood, he never suited up for any practices this season, or did he?Just very confusing to me. It's pretty clear his age made him ineligible, so why the mystery and prolong of revealing this fact?
skipper Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 yes JT will surely be missed but life must go on for the mustangs.the good part of this story is that there are others kids waiting to take his place there at wo-s its away of life there in mustang land the best of luck JT
ReadOption Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 If he turns 20 this Sept. 15th, wouldn't he have been ineligible for this past year's UIL sanctioned activities, ie. football and track?

He turned 19 on the 15th of last year, which made him eligible for all athletics last year but not this year.
ReadOption Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 You are correct. Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking 19 during the school year.
Baller 93 Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 How do we know this is the only athlete at WOS? :-\

I have seen several other students at WOS that appear to be athletes.

BADSANTA Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Why is a 20 year old in High School? That's not a good look to have his business out here like this.

hipster Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 How did they not know that last year was going to be his last football season? Something is not right here.

He is too old to play sports and wil be 21 going to college as a freshman. sounds like this is a private matter that is being discussed out open forum.[/quote]
the sports guy Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 I am glad he is still in school. Never gave up. Has a good future. Good for him.

liltex Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Kudos he's sticking w/a eduction, but the kid is mentioned in FNF magazine.I haven't bought any other fb magazines.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Will this have any effect on his offer from Utah??

We also had him in our previews of WOS as being a vital part of this year's Mustang team.

It's my understanding that Thomas will try to graduate early so that he can enroll in the spring at Utah.

It would seem to me to be a liability issue for the WO-S district. Not good mixing 20 year olds with 14-15 year olds.
