If y'all beat a team on that list, it means a lot.  Look at Aledo/Stephenville & Cedar Park/RR Westwood.  Beat Angleton, go to others receiving votes....  Beat Angleton & Ike, probably be ranked.  Especially with some of the ranked teams losing.  ;D Glass half full!

Brenham is the least crap talking person on this site, he loves his team and believes they will win, and they do quite often, leave him alone pick a fight with bhfan or one of the million others who actually do things to make people angry.

Brenhamfan has always an will always be a class act.

And i've never seen the words Dayton doesn't stand a chance on a single post Brenhamfan has posted. I'll jump on you if u mess with a reasonible poster! boom.  8)

Only ranking this Dayton fan cares about is my own.To make it to the qtr.finals in 09-10 after losing our mvp offensive player Ploch for awhile(concussion Crosby gm)09-Delasbour 19 4a mvp for the year in 2010 (Crosby gm again)and play respectable football 09 leading Brenham for 3 3/4 starting 6 soph.and the Cubs went to the title gm w/Tivy followed by being 6-3 @ half w/LaMarque in 2010 that also went to the title gm w/Aledo and LM scored 20 something pts on them @ halftime.There's my reasoning Liv is not the #2 Setx big school power.You gotta go wayyyy back to find da Lions a dist.champ.If shoulda's and coulda's counted well you know the drill. 8)

Thanks for the kind words Cougtalk!  I support my team, no matter what, and I try to do it in a classy manner.  I joke around occasionally, and the little bit of trash I talk is all in fun.  If I think a coach makes the wrong call, I say it.  If I think a ref made a bad call I'm not afraid to comment about it.  I speak my mind, but that's just my opinion.  Like I said, I never claimed that we would kill Dayton.  Just that I would like to see another game between the 2 schools.  As a matter of fact, I'm friends with a couple of Dayton guys from on here.  So feel free to bash my Cubs all you want...  Come the third weekend in November, let's make a little bet!?

When was the last time Brenham was just avg..they might have made the playoff's, but a big run was not expected?  I know for the past 3 years, yall have had very good teams despite the results from last season...expectations were still high.

90PNGNDN, to answer your question, 2003 is the last time we were average.  From 1999-2010, we only missed the playoffs in 2003.  So 10 out of the last 11 years, we have atleast made the playoffs.

IDK man....the '08 team was pretty average and over-achieved IMO.

I agree, but I was just going by the last time we had a .500 record or didn't make the playoffs.

I"m just curious....how long has your current coach been in place?  Did he do anything differently than the prior regime in order to get this kind of success in place ..ie where you development talent like you have had lately with several D1 kids?  As I've said before, talent isn't everything, but I agree it definately can't hurt lol.

I think it was 98' that he started.  Not sure what he has done different, but whatever it is, it has turned our program around.

That's fine....  You know, thanksgiving falls after the second round of the playoffs, and I have a feeling that Dayton's second round opponent might be a little more difficult this year.  Just a hunch....  ;)
