Yep, I came to the ant hill. Lol
How's that BH offense look that everyone was predicting would score all those points on the L-Train??... just curious. ;)
And here is where I eat my words!!! Good job BH. Seems like there may be something behind all the hype.

I was going to be generous and call it a defensive battle. 2nd half BH mixed it up pretty well. Denny looked good passing the ball. I left midway through the 4th.

bh89-2 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Looked like the coaches were really focusing on the run game tonight. Playing memorial we passed a lot. Maybe just working on some things. wins a win. Next week we got to play 100% better.
HillGuy Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Lumberton's LB's are solid and gave us problems all night. Also, Lum missed a few open passes. They ain't bad though. Gonna win some games. I think we just wore the Lum D down over the course the game and BH D looked very good. Concerned about how we will do against a good spread/throwing offense though. Good job overall Eagles!
UgotTRUCKED Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 I'll take the win to break in the new turf. Lumberton played solid though. Good job Eagles.

I really like our physicality but we have to be able to defend the pass better than we did tonight. Struggled against a weak air attack. You can only bring so much pressure when they're throwing from the gun or taking 3 step drops. Definitely have to improve in man coverage and getting the safeties over the top. Nonetheless, overall we looked well conditioned and pretty disciplined. Just have to keep getting better each week. Hats off to Lumberton, their kids played hard and didn't let up until the final buzzer. They will be just fine in district play.
liltex Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Congrads Eagles,Lumberton keep hustling you hung w/Jasper who hung w/Liv till 4th qtr. ;)
bh15 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 I agree with you Mr. Blitz. I knew Lumberton woud be tough. They had a great blocking scheme on defense. It is a good thing they dropped some passes. Why are our corners alyways playing 10-12 yards off the split end? We are giving them the underneath easy 7-8 yd. gain. Dayton did the same thing to us last year. Are they so afraid of the deep route? We bit on the out and up route twice last night anyway. Luckily their quarterback wasn't very accurate. Nederland will be a better passing team.Hats off to Lumberton. They played us tooth and nail in the 1st half and the game could have gone either way had they scored at the end of the 2nd qtr. BH has some work to do this week to prepare for Nederland.
MHS32 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Good win EAGLES. Still got some stuff to work on because it is not going to get any easier. Pretty sure you are not showing everything yet. :) Now back to work and put a whipping on Ned. :o
