Dayton Broncos @ Angleton Wildcats predictions...........

This one is a toss up!  I'll take Angleton, because they have been so impessive lately. (Not that Dayton hasn't, but they are still missing 2 key players)

That would have worked in previous years with Diggs at QB but this is a totally different team and offensive attack. New QB TJ Austin has thrown for about 250 yards with 4 Td's and no interceptions. He's on pace to throw for about 1,200 to 1,300 yards, which is a boatload of yards compared to past years. Their more balanced than before, so they'll be tougher to figure out on offense. Defense is what worries me a bit. They did play better against BWood. They gave up some yards between the 20's, but have stiffened up in the redzone, getting 4th down stops or causing turnovers. They did lose one of their LB's to a knee injury in the BWood game and I don't know if he'll play, so all-state LB Webster Jones is going to have to step up to help fill the void. I expect a close game with Angleton pulling away 28-21. ;D

I don't care who we're playin this group of Bronco skill players have plenty of big game exp both in previous pre-dist as well as deep playoff runs since 99.Overall team speed is great and the players are conditioned for 4 full qtrs.pedal down.We'll just do what we do,can't worry about the opponents whoever they may be but I like our chances.

Dayton will put them selfs in a postion to win no if 's an's or but's period ! This game  will not be a blow out ~ two good teams getting after it . Minus our two star runnning backs we still managed a courageous  come back against a very athletic 5a Elkins team . This Bronco team believes in its self  and has the talent  and even more the chemistry to play with anybody !  Angleton will be tested  by a team that fears no one ! Go Bronco's !

Im going with Dayton,always will. Angleton is the best team we have seen yet. Kinda glad this was a bi week so we can get extra practices in. We will need our O and D to play Bronco fb. These are the games you want b4 district starts, good luck men!

Maybe you should just go fishing.  Watching Dayton get their tails kicked is a great idea, but 'come on man', it's fishing.

I agree with you that the passing game is better but it's predicated on being able to run the ball and play-action off it.  I know what the stats look like but can they pass the ball when you know the pass is coming?  The Livingston/Vidor offense they now run tells me not likely.  It won't make any difference if the Bronx can't stop the run first.

[/quote] I think Angleton has more talent and based on the first two opponents, they seem to be on the uprise.  I know the Broncos are good too, but someone has to win/lose.

Just think that Angleton has shown more so far in 2 games against tougher opponents than Dayton's one. I applaud Dayton's great comeback victory, but what got them down 28-7 midway through the 2nd before Elkins collapse/Dayton's adjustments? Angleton thoroughly dominated 2 very good, playoff contending teams, so maybe that's what they are going off of with the predictions.

[/quote] Angleton was under coached for years and still performed well on the field.  My son played against Angleton @ Dawson(sophomore 2008-2009) and later with Manvel (jr 2009-10) ... When the Wildcats are coached well, with confidence riding high they are very hard to beat.  They have the athletes to compete with the best.
