Well, week two is down and another 20-4A falls.

Victims of 19-4A
Lumberton :'( (BH win)
PNG :'( (Crosby win)
Nederland :'(  (BH win and Dayton win)

Did I leave any sad souls off the list?
Looks like the best team in 20-4A might be BH.
I'm sure they would be if they were in 20-4a.
That's the point I was attempting to make.
With all due respect, Barbers Hill is a middle of the road team at best.  Beating Lumberton this year is no great feat.  Haven't gotten to see Big Ned play yet, but I don't thimk they are bringing the pain this year either.  Get you some of the boys from Central and tell me what you think.  BH can make the playoffs, but they are not the best team in any district...theirs or 20-4a.
HAHAHAHAHAHA  Central?????  REALLY?????  They could not beat their way out of a wet paper bag this year.  :o

Is that why Central beat Ball by 17 and lost to 5-A Westbrook by only 6 points?  They got smoked by Memorial, but so would BH (all day!).  Get your facts straight.  School spirit is one thing, but you are delusional!  Like I said, BH is not a bad team...but they are a middle of the road team.  Definitely not a number 1 prospect.

Jags won by 3 points and we were on the 20 yard line when our ex coach decided to go for an endzone shot over a field goal ;D Also beating a predicted last place team(Galveston Ball) in there district by 17 isn't much to brag about. Santa Fe is ranked above Ball and we beat them 34-0 while allowing only 56 total yards for the game.

If we are middle of the road then you guys are sharing the center lane with us ;D

Ask them what happened the last time they faced the Jaguars from Beaumont.

How do you know how that district will finish?  Those guys have not played one district game yet.  Besides, there were several TD's left on the field by Central Last friday night Vs. Ball.
I don't know how they will finish just giving you thier pre season predicted finish in that district. By the way the site poll has BH at 7 and Central at 14  ;D
So what?  What does that mean?  When we played, The Ant Mound was undefeated district champs and lost to a 3rd place Jag team in the playoffs.  Just food for thought. 8) 8)
It means that through the collective minds off the smartest moderators in southeast Texas the conclusion is that Central is half as good as BH ;D ;D 8) You know you voted for us just admit it ;D

Much respect to you for giving BH a little credit ;D They are playing pretty good, if we can just limit our mistakes we can make an impact on the playoffs this year. impact = getting the heck out of round 1 ;D

PNG won the state championship in 1974. They played Sterling at Lamar in the quarterfinals. Did they play the semifinal game in the dome that year?
In 1974 PN-G lost in the semis to I believe Brazosport.
PN-G won state in 75.  In 1974 they played French at Lamar for bidistrict.
Thanks for the reply. do you know if Ricky Ethridge was the quarterback in 1975 for png? Also, what school did Jeff " the jet" Berjeron play for?
There were two Ethridge QB's, don't know which years Ricky played for.  Berjeron (Begeron) played at PN-G and graduated (I believe) in 1972????  I also think he was in school at the same time that Little Joe Washington was playing in Lincoln.  I was born in 1966, so I don't remember PN-G football before 1973.  I remember going to the playoff games from 1974 on.
I want to thank you for the information. I played for B. Sterling against png in the quarterfinal game at Lamar in 1974. I think Ricky was the quarterback. We won the 1st half of that game in the fog. The fog lifted in the 2nd half and the air attact took us apart. We had a much stronger offensive line than png that year but your defensive line was very quick. Ever since then I have believed in smaller but faster defensive linemen. I hope we can have a rematch in the playoffs this year. BH vs the "Indian Nation" that is. Good luck with the rest of your season.
