Newton has never beaten Marlin. Maybe that solid preseason schedule has helped them. I'll ride with what you call "purple pride" that will be Newton. Too close to call though.

I will say that it will be a close game because of the simple fact every time we play marlin its close. Except in 2004 when they beat us 37-7 But i'm going to roll with newton and say Newton by 14 or more

I can't believe that I'm going to agree with the Balla!!! I've had my battles with the Marlin Bulldogs and I promise you they will give Newton all they want. I still think Newton will come away with the win. Good luck to the Eagles!!!

I would LOVE to see Newton by 21 but I just don't know. Marlin is down a little compared to years past but so are we. I look for a tight, hard fought game with Newton by 6.

I agree with everyone!!!! It will be good game, Marlin is down this year from what they have been.... Im going to say if Newton plays the way they have been and as good as they did in the preseason with that tough schedule,,,, We can win this is say Newton by 13...

That isnt *exactly* true. I believe Barbay's record vs Marlin is 1-4.

I have seen both teams on video. From what I have seen, I will pick Newton in a close game. Past history in this matchup will not affect the outcome of the game. Good Luck Coach Barbay and all of the Newton coaches and players.

I dunno about the win...I read it somewhere. I would guess it happened sometime before the readily available stats which begin in the late 90s.
