dwal1399
I was wondering if there are any other kids in this area playing for the Banditos? Its a solid 2 1/2 hour drive to Tomball and I shift work. Is there anyone that would be interested in maybe carpooling or swapping out turns taking the kids to practice? Thanks.. OldNedDog
There are a few different leagues in this area that is offering Fall ball. I wouldn't think there would be many kids or parents in our area driving 2 1/2 hrs for fall baseball. Good luck!
dwal1399
This isn't about fall ball, kids come from all over the united states to play for this organization. I was just wondering if there were any other locals who might be playing and commuting to Tomball. Thanks..
OldNedDog
Ok. I have spent lots of weekends at the ballpark (Ford Fields) through the spring season, and dont recall hearing anyone from the GT area driving there for baseball. I could be wrong. Good luck, I hope you find a ride.
dwal1399
Thanks for your input and knowledge of the parents and players that you've gained from hanging out at ford fields.
GTBBaseball
DWal, If you dont mind me asking, what age is your son to be motivated to drive this far for team baseball?
KF89
KIDS from all over the usa come to tomball,tx. just to play for the banditos, cant beat that recruiting area!no wonder they get so upset when my little jefferson county team beats them.i have 7 wins 2 loses vs. the united states of america banditos.there are teams, coaches & instruction just as good in the golden triangle as there is in tomball. ispeakjive
My son's team beat a Bandito group a classification higher than them a couple years ago. In the younger levels I don't think there is any benefit to playing with a group like that and subjecting yourself to the travel. The kids may get a little more exposure playing for their high school-age teams, but realistically the Gladiators and Sun Devils are getting kids noticed and placed on college teams at about the same level as the Banditos. I think you are wasting a bunch of trips.
