WOSgrad Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 The second game of "Saturday Night Lights - 2011" features a battle of two Orange County teams as the Bridge City Cardinals travel to Vidor to take on the Pirates! Both teams come into this game 1-0 as Cris Stump's Cardinals started off the season with a 61-3 pasting of Shepherd while the season opener had a little more drama involved for Jeff Mathews and his Pirates as they defeated Texarkana, Texas High with a 30-27 overtime victory.Join SETXsport's Administrator Mike Sanchez and KFDM Sports Director Mike Friedman as they bring you all of the action from Ivan Croak Field at Pirate Stadium beginning at 7 p.m. on KFDM CW Channel 10. Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 I want a shoutout. I do have a question. With all this rain going on which offense will be affected the worse?
kcat-fan Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 IMO, BC passing game will be affected with rain and the high winds. Vidor will keep it on the ground...not that BC can't run it, it will mess with the passing though.......gunna be a awesome battle!!! ;)
adminbaberuth Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Just a test

Fastball Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Menard and BC Oline should prove to be more than Vidor D can handle.
WOSgrad Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 Guys, just spoke with Mike Sanchez who told me that due to the weather, they are having problems with the signal getting to the satellite. They are working on it, but they will not be on at kickoff and will be joining the game in progress.
WOSgrad Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 The game is on the air, or at least it is on kfdm.com
Roughrider Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 They are showing a shot of the Bridge City stands and there is only about 50 people in the crowd supporting the cards. What a shame. Thats what you call a fair weather fan.
WOSgrad Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 Vidor scores first on a 1 yd run and lead Bridge City, 7-0
WOSgrad Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 After a Pirate INT of Menard, Bolinger goes 32 for the TD. Vidor leads 14-0 with 3:4 left in the 1st.
Roughrider Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 After watching a few series and giving it the ole eye ball test....WOS will hang about 60 on that Bridge City defense.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Still having a lil trouble on the CW
YoungCoug21 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 This weather is changing the whole game... Bridge gotta get the pass going if they wanna win!
WOSgrad Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 At the end of 1, Vidor leads 14-0
WOSgrad Posted September 4, 2011 Author Report Posted September 4, 2011 Menard scores from 7 yds out. PAT no good. With 3:50 left in the 2nd qtr., Vidor leads 14-6
