Started watching when Vidor was up 14-0. Don't know how they scored. BC was 2 point conversion from tieing the game in 4th quarter but Menard's TD was called back.

Vidor plays hard and team football but I wouldn't put them in week 11 just yet.

Thats alright.  We are only worried about week three.  We will worry about week 11 after we finish with week 10
Good thinkin, because I dont think BC is 20-4a caliber.

Ya, I know cause they lost to Vidor not PNG or Nederland.  What exactly is 20-4a caliber so I will know it when I see it.  Cause of course 20-4a is the best 4a district in the state right?  ::)

Hope Mr. Minard will be ok.  Special shout out to Keith Youngblood of Bridge City.  He had to be carted off with a leg injury.  We are praying for you buddy.  You are a great kid and I hope you are back out there soon.  Good Luck 58
Judging from most peoples predictions they thought they were a 20-4a caliber team until the game ended...B.C is a good football team with some very good players..We have alot of football left in this season but I like what I see from this Pirate team.

Great game 23.  You were all over the field on defense and played a heck of game at QB.  Anyone else wonder why in the world with 40 plus seconds left we decide to run a QB draw instead of just takng a knee.  23 took a pretty good hit on that play for NO reason.  Are you trying to get him hurt?  Would have been real bad if he came up with a broken collar bone on that play and we lost him for the season.  Come On Man,  REALLY?

Stump predicted a 35 point victory. He cried the whole night. Bottom line none of the stump brothers would have won tonight. That's what you get in a bad weather game. You can't run that sissy offense or basketball on grass in the rain.

I sat in the rain through this one...Vidor really has matured compared to last year... They don't have the biggest size but the defense swarms to the ball...With Clark coming back next week should make the run more effective.... Looks like a exciting year to watch.

anymore doubters on the quarterback/linebacker #23 Quirante?
i remember when he was 10...you didn't dare punt it to him...awesome kid. i just wish the pirates didn't have so many kids going both ways. the district games are gonna be tough.

Good game despite some awful conditions! Would have been nice to have seen it played under better circumstances. Vidor runs that offense well, they really play to their strength and are very disciplined. BC miscues cost them dearly, bad snaps, penalties, etc. Both teams squandered some scoring opportunities and certainly left some points on the field. The QB/LB #23 is a heck of a player, tough on both sides of the ball. Thought BC may have put it together when they started running Clark in the 4th, he's a tough runner, but it was too little too late. Awfully hard to do much more than try and play power football in the rain. Sure hated to see #58 for BC leave on crutches, good kid, hope he's okay.

On a side note I would personally like to commend Vidor for the pre game prayer!! Not just a moment of silence but a real deal prayer. Good job right there, well done. Very nice to see that happen in this day and time.

Thanks Rake, It is funny that you mention the prayer.  The Vidor School Board discussed this again just a few weeks ago and issued this statement.  “The Supreme Court of the United States of America will have to order the board to stop allowing kids who wish to exercise their right to say a prayer at a public gathering”.
