Kupua1 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Are there any other's wondering if Nederland is 2-0 without it's unmentioned sophomore class? They seem to be playing just as good as it's upper classmen if not better? If I am not mistaken they start (7) sophomores: Kimbler, Malveaux, Brinkley, Brown, Hopkins, Washington, and Mendoza on special teams. Not only starting, but playing major roles on the team. Kimbler is a ball hawk on offense or defense! Hopkins is a special player when the ball is in his hands! That kid Malveaux is shoring up the middle and requires a double teen on every play (without Pryor)! Washington has some of the best hands on team! Brinkley/Brown have played better than expected as the offense seems to be ready for take-off! Mendoza on special teams is very aggressive and making plays! Would love to hear any other Nederland analysis for the good start thus for? Expecting some big things from these dawgs, especially for the next couple of years if they keep them together.
PhatMack19 Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 The future is definitely bright in Nederland. It seemed like they called Kimler's name on every tackle last night. Hopkins also looks good running the ball between the tackles. Malveaux has been tough up the middle. The JR. class is also loaded with talent and things are looking up in Bulldog land.
Fastball Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 What about the Butler kid? Comes from good Nederland genes!!!! Grandfather Coach, Uncle Billy, Cousins Ryan and Garrett, and most famous -- Pappa-Johnny Wishbone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just watch!
dawgnut Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 I thought that we were extremely young last year, then I look over the team this year and I think the same thing. So far they are looking real good, keep them healthy and there's nothing but good things to come.
