WOSgrad Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 South Houston took this one tonight 24-14
Guest UHCoog14 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Left at halftime. Ugly weather. Ugly game. With Channelview beating Humble last night, RSS will have trouble finding those 2 district wins to make the "playoffs".

sahen Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 dont think RSS is thinking playoffs, they are just trying not to go 0-10 for the first time in their history (somehow they have managed to avoid that with many 1-9 seasons)...according to the chronicle they only had 140 yards or so on offense and 60 something on one pass play to gibson for a TD...im sorry but 140 yards on South Houston is unacceptable for any offense no matter what scheme you have changed to...i think the coach for Sterling may be in over his head right now...hopefully things work out for him in the long run...
Steven Avery Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Embarrassing. Did I see that right? More passing yds than rushing yards with 50 plus rushing attempts
Guest UHCoog14 Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Looking back at the schedule, it's hard to find 2 wins for C'view and RSS in district.
LP0175 Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 How did CV beat Humble? Humble is a region champion by many pollsters, losing to CV doesn't help convince me. Baytown as a city may need to do what hisd does and pick one school and load distric talent into that school. Smh
liltex Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Humble w/432 yds of offense to 288 for CV-Humble had 3 int-7 fumbles losing 2
Steven Avery Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 If RSS doesnt beat CV they will go winless this year. All the excitement to start the season is gone and is hard to see anything good happening the rest of the way. If you only run for 50 yards against south houston then you might have a problem, a big one.
Guest UHCoog14 Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Oak Ridge or Pasadena. RSS has a shot at one or both of those.
LP0175 Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Pasadena...oak ridge has a slight advantage, other teams in the district have success. As fat as SoHo goes, C.L. Whittington has that program competing
gary-us-bonds Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 I see where Atascocita had nearly 500 yards against SH.Sterling looked pretty bad to me.They HAVE to get the ball to Gibson more on offense.Throw him that deep ball 5 or 6 times a game at least. There s plenty of room for that type of play in that offense. At least once every other drive they have to go to it.They have a DISTINCT advantage with Gibson going against any two db's the other team has back there.
Steven Avery Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Yep that one play to gibson accounted for more yards than 50 rushes lol
