BH is gonna be big and physical and try to control the game on the ground, much like they did last year...BH did pretty much control the game for 3 quarters last year until Big Ned almost pulled it out in the 4th...Nederland did go into that game with a rash of injuries and we had numerous starters not suited out...I really do look for another close, competetive game...Nederland will have to control BH's running game and BH will have to find a way to control Nederland's passing game...whichever team wins the turnover and field position battles will win this game, IMO

Definitely not claiming to be an expert on Nederland's offense by any stretch of the imagination...I do claim to be very well versed in Barbers Hill's defense though.  That coupled with seeing the Dog's O more than a handful of times is enough for me to come to the conclusion that BH aint giving up 45 against Nederland.....and I'll bet the farm on that one. (maybe even the Hill)  ;D

Probably the best post thus far on this thread...just hate that it came from a Dog fan  ;)

Sounds like Nederland has a couple of key guys out again this year, as does BH.  Hopefully if nothing else both teams can finish the contest as healthy as they came in.  Friday can't get here fast enough!

Wow, I am feeling the love mr. blitz...I am sure both teams do have some injuries, as is common at this time of year...it's unfortunate, but it is part of the game...at least Nederland doesn't have as many as we did at this time last year but still some real key guys will be missing (Pryor, Brown, Hopkins, Fontenot)...hopefully, we get most everyone back in 2 weeks for the district opener and both teams can leave this game injury free as well...still going Dogs 24, BH 20.

Oh yes I remember last year ;D BH looked to cruze to an easy win when all of a sudden Ned wakes up and starts completing everything!!!! I was thinking OMG we are going to lose this game after 3 solid quarters!!!

Good post from Razor. Nederland better score on every possession because BH is gonna keep the ball for entire quarters at a time. The only way Nederland wins is through the air. Maybe y'all refs will help some too. If Ned shuts down the BH running attack I'll eat my words next week.

I haven't seen BH play but I know they have played very weak opponents.  Should be a good game.  I still am hoping we hang 45 on yall  8) 8)

This is funny, when we go across the Trinity everyone over here talks about the officiating over there. I guess it would be safe to say that if most of the calls don't go the way you want them most football fans think the officials are against them. By the way many games that Nederland plays are not officiated by the Golden Triangle Chapter.

Freshman and JV play tonight! How good is Nederlands underclassmen? Our Freshman got beat pretty bad by Lumberton and Livingston last week ,but our JV beat Lumberton pretty sound.

I don't have any idea how good the Nederland underclassmen are as well. No matter what happens, I will be taking home some BBQ crabs from Sartins so my youngster will have something really good to eat after playing in the game. I don't think they are going to feed the freshman on the way home.
