Props to the jags for the win tonight. Don't fret soulja the jags will be ready come district, those young men have to much pride to let themselves down they will claw themselves into a position for a playoff run and play like the champions they are, but I'll tell you this 20-4A will be a fight to the finish this year. Should be a very interesting season.

The long Galveston trip too a lot out of me, so I had to wait to post. Due to the Ferry delay (car broke down on Ferry), I was late, and wasn't happy about it. I arived in the second quarter.  As I was entering the building, there was a TF being scored by Central to make it 21-7 Jags..  What I do notice is that the same suspect play calling still persists after 3 weeks of football on both the offensive side of the ball and defensive. That team shouldn't have scored at all.  And on offense, we should have scored on 80% of our possessions.  Another thing. Since I missed the first quarter, I assume I missed the 80 yards of passint since I didn't see us complete one pass play (maybe I'm exagerating). I have a list of things that we can improve on for district.

1. Receivers, you have to want to catch the bal.  It won't come right to you every time.  Sometimes you have to go and get it
2.  My Qb will need to look downfield firlst befor looking at his medium, short, or his guy in the flats. 3 weeks in a row, the long guy is open down field.
3.  Stop doing stupid stuff after long plays/successful drives. Last week against West Brook, we passed the ball to set up a 1st down in their red zone.  Also last week, there was an 80 yard run for a TD.  The insuing possession, we allow an 80 yard TD return for West Brook.  Shortly after, we were faced with 4th and a mile (4 and 20 I believe).  This week, we get a huge run.  The play afterwards, a fumble.  Last night, we have a scoring opportunity Deep in Ball's terretory. We bog down and had to rely on a 33 yard FG. This week, we also allowed a huge kickoff return right after a score.
4. Please, take snaps from under Center.  I've been saying this since for 2 years now.    We run better from under center.  Would set up the pass.
5. #22 should be starting RB, IMO.  He's the bigger back (it showed on one long run as he broke like 5 tackles for a huge gain), looks like he have more explosion out the backfield, and seems to be a home run hitter once in open space(#21 is about 5'7" 150 lbs and he got run down by a D-Linemen from Ball).
6.  Open the playbook.  I see these same plays that I've been seeing since week 0.  A lot of them didn't work in week 0 and still have yet to work now.

Things that I did like:

1. Our Kicker is legit!  He kicked several kickoffs out the back of the end zone and connected on all of his extra point attempts.  He also hit the 33 yarder.  Not to mention on the long Kickoff return fro Ball, he slowed down the Ball returner enough to where other players could atch him.
2.  I see we are blitzing on big downs to distrupt the opposing offense.  I like that.
3. Defense are showing swagger by laying bone crushing hits
4.Our CB are not playing 15 yards off the receiver anymore (now, only 5 yards).
5. On offense, our O-Line is blocking even better.
6.  D-lines looked pretty good for the second week in a row.

I like our chances going into district.  I just hope that the 2 week break (bye) will have us enough time to get it together and begin our defense of our 2010 20-4a district crown.

(if there are any typos, please excuse me.  This was posted from the Cell Phone)
