Well then maybe y'all should switch to flag football. People don't get hurt there. It's freaking football. Its a physical game that people get hurt in. You just need to learn to deal with it. And yalls backup QB did great tonight. He can lead y'all to playoffs easily.

'People don't get hurt there...' ( flag football). Obviously you have never played the game or you wouldn't say that! 8)

Very true.  I used to play with a bunch of guys I worked with and one guy broke his leg!  And it was a nasty break.  Anyway,  this was a  good game for Ned as far as facing a similar team and offense that we will face in two weeks. BH definetly has a tough D and it looks like Neds
defense held thier own as well.  Good luck to BH the rest of the season.

I played 'real football' from 8th grade to 12th, both offens and defense. Then played college football at SHSU. Never had a serious injury until I tore my ACL playing flag football (twice!).

Anyway,Very surprised to see Nederland only score 7 pts after gaining that many offensive yards.

As did I (through 12th grade).  The flag football injury was probably the nastiest that I have seen playing either one.  ( aside from Thiesman's injury of course)

Ewe! Don't remind me. That was by far the worst injury I've ever seen. Another graphic injury was a few was ago when Willis McGahee's knee got destroyed when Miami played Ohio State (think  that's who hey were playing?).

I didn't realize that NED players were ejected. All the announcer called out was the BH player. Thanks for the link.

The PA News article states -"... two Nederland players were ejected. No penalties were enforced for the scuffle except for the 15-yard personal foul for the late hit.

It was actually two players ejected, being one Nederland and one Barber's Hill.  Just another example of how the newspaper is not always "the Bible" when it comes to reporting.  ;)

    • It’s been awhile, but I seem to remember 5 D starters out & 2 O starters out (OL). A big difference is that Simon wasn’t involved yet. He’s totally changed LP’s rushing attack from last year as a bruising, explosive addition to Barnes, Sandolph & Bright. Last year—and early this season—LP was missing that element. Now, Coach Berneathy is not making talented players wait like many other coaches & even his predecessors at LP. If the kid can produce at the varsity level, they’re moved up. And man, has Simon produced! Over 1200 yards & 20 TD’s in less than a full season so far! It’s allowed LP to alternate RB’s where Barnes doesn’t take all the pounding. Barnes and Sandolph are also able to split out as receivers as desired to add threats that weren’t really an option last year. The PNG/LP game was a full-on tilt & good for both squads. I remember Gary Joseph in the end zone giving his son pointers as an extra set of eyes since he’d had experience with LP in past PO matchups. That was a good game. The score wasn’t really indicative of the game. Not sure anyone felt it was over until the final whistle! Good luck to y’all in Cajun Country. Bring back a win for SE Texas. (Yes. La Porte is still SETX. Ha!)
    • SEC fan bases before Texas got there: “The horns aren’t ready for this. Every week is a battle.” SEC fan bases after Texas arrived: “Texas has the easiest SEC schedule ever!” SEC fan bases after every one of their teams has lost to one or more SEC teams from the bottom half of the standings, many of whom Texas beat comfortably: 🤐
    • With a big win against the rival to close out the year… look to see Lamar make the playoffs next year
