Ty Cobb Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Does this mean the AL West will consist of 5 teams or will one of the existing teams be moved as well?

Ty Cobb Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 I hope this doesn't happen. It will take away any chance of having an all TEXAS World Series. Does anyone have an idea of why MLB is pushing for this? Why not put the yankees and mets in the same division? Or how about the california area teams?

WOSgrad Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 My understanding is that if the realignment were to occur, that divisions would be eliminated and the top 5 teams from each league would advance to the playoffs.
