purpleeagle Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Championeagles, I think the 3 point game with Silsbee missing the field goal as time run out was year before last in Silsbee. It was not that close last year in Newton.
Kville_Kats Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 I think Silsbee lost to Newton 40/26 last year,And Newton lost in the playoffs 70/26 to Cameron Yoe..I think that's right...But that was last year It's all a new year...This will be a good game as usual..Good Luck to both teams...
ChampionEagles Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Oh well, I remember what I want to my wife says! :D
ChampionEagles Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Newton won last year in Newton 40-26. The field goal with time running out was the year before in Silsbee. As for this being a no brainer, I and my wife both believe Newton will come out of Silsbee with a win.

JB94 Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Newton is looking really good this year. But, so is Silsbee. Newton's improvement has been greater overall, though. I think this will be a tight game - I'd be very surprised if either team wins by more than 10 points. I'm going with Silsbee by 6.
tjcfan08 Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 This will be the game to watch this week.......Newton will start off strong and finish strong.....Newton takes this 28-14....

Guest CTH13 Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Silsbee should take this game, but it will be a close game.4235Final
jimmyw Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 I will take my eagles 28-17 unless it rains. Silsbee has a very good team and a great stadium (but a mud pit for a field when it is raining). last time we played there ,it looked like a large herd of piney wood rooter hogs had a field day for a week after the game was over.
APanthers Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Well i dont think it will rain so Newton should be alright.
bigocat Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 silsbee is a much better team than last year. They have several players who didnt play last year, who have became impact players. Patrick Reed is doing a fine job at QB, he just needs to relax a little more , the O line will take care of him. D is solid, very good backs and linemen. I take the Tigers by 7.
APanthers Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 I think Newton is better than last year also .
Blackrose#2 Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 both teams have played great games. silsbee 3-0 and newton 2-0. 1 team has to lose. it will be a very good game. i think that the silsbee tigers will pull it off though. they have alot more rushing yards then newton and they also have more people running the ball, and they also have better passing stats then newton. silsbee has 1056 rushing yards compared to newton with 338 rushing yards.
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 This is a close one to call. Newton came off a big win against C-C last week and Silsbee has been on a roll. Idk who to call but whoever wins it will definitely be a close one. That's for sure.

NOTWENS Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 newton has prob close to 650 total rush yards in two games
ChampionEagles Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Newton's defense is much improved from the last two years. Silsbee has not been against the type of swarming defense they will see Friday. Should be a back and forth game. Newton is young but talented and there is always a chance for greatness as well as a chance of blown assignments with youth.
the sports guy Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 The tiger boys are a close bunch. If they keep it that way....21 point win.
BADSANTA Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Newton is ranked 9th in 2A. Should be a easy win vs a unranked 3A right Newton fans? Lets let the game play out Friday and see what hapens.
ChampionEagles Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Rankings mean squat. We have been ranked many, many times with some deserved some not. What matters is how rank a team we are. Better buckle up if your a Tiger. You ain't seen nothing yet! ;D
cgenec79 Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Not only do the Eagles have W.T.'s defense they also have Shorter's wheels. This kid has serious ball carrier vision and is a force on the field. In two games he has already racked up 412 yards and 7 touchdowns. After having a rollercoaster season last year, this year's Eagles are ready to play football.
