blah blah blah....Vidor fans will be crying :-X again after this season bc they didn't make the playoffs.  Vidor must earn respect in district.  Every year Vidor fans declare their greatness only to be disappointed.  Maybe this is their year, if so good...  I would be proud of the kids in Vidor if they did win district...

Let me tell you something son you can talk about the Vidor fans all you want, you can talk smack all you want, you can express your opinion all you want, but when you start trashing the kids that actually play the games you have crossed a line big time in my book that's not what this forum should be about. Talk trash about me all you want call me names all you want but you leave these young men out of it, your are a classless punk and if the Moderators don't muzzle you they are not doing their job.

Year in and year out, there is about a half a dozen or so posters from the mid county area.  The only thing I can figure "he is still bitter from last years loss".  Heard the same crap last year from the same group.

There are the same amount of trashers from Vidor as there are from Nederland or anywheres else.  Most of them are only trying to get a rise out of the viewers in which on this thread they did.  Keep responding to them and you only fuel their fire.  I for one will never belittle the fine young men that put a lot of heart and sweat into this game and entertain all of us on Friday nights.  Vidor fans, do not let the posts from these individuals who are trashing reflect all of us here in Nederland.  We respect your team equally as much as any other team we play.  Some individuals tend to take it too far and ruin the fun for everyone.  As for the moderators, they have been doing a good job so far to keep the players protected from what is very distasteful reading material.  Hopefully, the player's don't take anything they read on this site to heart.  Best of luck to the Pirates next friday in this contest between two very good teams and I pray for the players to remain healthy through what is going to be a good hard played game.  By the way, Nederland has to hear a lot of smash talk that is very distasteful as well, go read what Barbers Hill posters were saying about us.  What goes around comes around. Unfortunately, sometimes it is not deserved.

Good post DOGS1988, you are right the trash talk has been going both ways. This thread got red hot with it pretty quick, and I've done my share of it. I'm like you in that I try really hard to NEVER attack the young men that actually give us the reason to have a forum like SETXsports and I know the Mods. on this sight do a great job maybe I let my anger get the best of me in that statement concerning them. The smack talk is great, the pride in team is great, the folks who post on here can almost expect to be challenged or called out about an opinion or statement and that's great too........but come on lets not make stupid remarks about the guys who work hard to represent their towns on Friday nights.

Sometimes I think we lose sight of what is at hand with our personal feelings. This should be a war of a football game, both teams are playing hard and physical and I feel like this could be one of the best games of the year!! Just to me, last year don't matter, this is a new crop of athletes and a new year. Emotions will be running high at the Pound, and two good teams are squaring off....My prediction-nail biter.

I know exactly what you mean Raider42 . Vidor is not as good as they thought . They just happened to play a soft pre season.

Their sails fall off Friday and then they rapidly sink into the deepest depths of 20-4A , alongside the raiders
