In all seriousness, you won't find a friendlier rivalry or a closer relationship between communities than what you find in Mid-County. I personally think the level of competition between PN-G and Nederland is what keeps the two schools performing so highly. To say that it's the longest continuous rivalry in Southeast Texas and that it's the fiercest in the state, Mid-County folks share a strong bond.

IMO, the Bulldogs are the only real rivalry to PNG.  LC-M may think of PNG as a rival, I've heard, but I have never seen them as a real rival.  The spirit against Central is growing, since we have competed for the title the past couple of years, but really no big rival there.

[/quote]You're right.  it is growing.  2008 the shutout and the fight.  2009, the blocked FG and return by Dunbar.  2010, the Blowout.  What will we see this year, PN-G fans?

Thomas jefferson vs Png or Nederland used to be good rival games back in the day. Many Mid county folks migrated from the great town of Port Arthur.
