Had my first experience with BBCOR last night in Bridge City.  Not only was a well hit ball not a homerun, but balls I'm used to seeing flare out over the infield are now caught by the middle infielders.  This is going to affect not only the power hitters but also the guys who are contact hitters.  Definitely a lot less forgiving.

Has anyone had experience with the Demarini Voodoo or Marucci Cat 5 bbcor bats. They had good reviews on Baseball Express.
[/quote]a friends kid has the marucci and he loves it. it is a more balanced bat than the voodoo. the voodoo is more end-weighted. i'm not sure about the voodoo's this year, but i know some kids had problems with last years model bbcor bat going "dead" after a while. they may have fixed that tho. i'm trying to decide between the marucci and the rip-it prototype. both are one piece all aluminum bats with supposedly some weight in the grip to reduce vibration. of course, the voodoo is two piece.
