Guest TribePride75 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Anyone remember that PN-G vs Jacksonville playoff game in the 90's at Sam Houston State stadium I believe? Their RB scored with seconds left in the game to go ahead and he's knee was without question down? or was that a nightmare I had once? ???
HubTx Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Man, I'm from Rusk, just south of Jacksonville, and I remember all of the classic Jacksonville playoff games, including the PNG game... Am I mistaken, or did they play in non-district at one time???
Guest TribePride75 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 I dont recall? Im sure they have before they had the same type of fight song I remember that.
WOSgrad Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 Jacksonville and PN-G have played 4 times in the regular season:1958 - PN-G 22, Jacksonville 01959 - PN-G 7, Jacksonville 02000 - Jacksonville 31, PN-G 172001 - Jacksonville 21, PN-G 2
Guest spmorse1976 Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 1996 Playoffs at Sam Houston. Jacksonville 14 PN-G 7, Jacksonville won in the last minutes, we had him behind the line of scrimmage and what we thought was down, and he (Whitaker) broke free for about a 35-40yd TD to put them on top.
Lightning/Eagle Posted September 15, 2011 Report Posted September 15, 2011 I believe Jacksonville had a pretty good quarterback then too. McCown played in NFL for years. I think one of their line backers played college ball at SMU.
