Can't wait to see the stats on this one.. It was definately more of a defensive game than I expected.  The Tigers defense played a heck of a game .  They made it look like #2 was Newtons only weapon.  he played a great game.  Once Reed gets a little more confident throwing the ball the Tigers offense will really get rolling.  He was just a little off on some tonight.  Tigers scoring 14 points off turnovers were the difference.

I loved the D tonight.  On both sides of the ball.  Great game newton all the young men played hard.

I picked on Newton fans earlier....hope you know it was in fun.  It is always a good game.

Silsbee defense on the field much too long tonight. Last two games, Lumberton 88 offensive plays, Newton 70 plays. 158 plays to Silsbee's 90. That will catch up to us eventually.

Newton just had too many penalties and a few costly turnovers. Great game on both teams. I look for Newton to make it deep this yr. Prayers for #11 to a quick recovery.

He may need to throw one at times, but he needs to stay within the offense. Holmes may be open at times but we have several recievers who can be open at any time lots of weapons.

Everyone is saying it....kids parents and fans.  This Tiger group is a team.  They just seem closer than most Silsbee Teams of the past. 

In the past if one got hurt.  One teammate might check on the player.  Now.....it is when they have the chance to. It might be a few plays but it is the first chance they get.  I enjoy seeing that.  Same goes if one makes a play.  It is just good to see.

They are becoming to be a true unit.  Hope they build on it each week.  If it does....watch out.

2-9 on third down conversions...gotta change that one.  That hurts bad. 

Wrap up and drive your legs D.
