Nice. Looks like Montgomery hasn't lost much of there offense since Dobbins graduated. Brenham may have some competition this year.  8)

I agree, but they put up similar numbers last year as well.  Look at the Magnolia West offense... Tomorrow they go up against the Brenham defense.  What a game that will be!

Definitely. I might even feel an upset by Magnolia West

You know what they say...  "Offense sells tickets, but defense wins games"  ;)

according to those  numbers Brenham has the best Offense and Defense
[/quote]
Not quite. Brenham is averaging more passing yards than Mont but Mont blows them out of first place with there rushing yards. Mont is averaging 470.8 yards per game but they are second on most points averaged in games so i could see why you would think that but most people say yards are what counts but in your defense lumberton is averaging top four stats in everything but scoring points in 20-4A but yet they are 0-6.

What stands out like the Aurora would in Dayton is the fact none of the teams have a defense, other than Brenham.  Makes me wonder if the Brenham offense is good or are the other teams defenses that bad??????  Montgomery looks OK defensively, but who knows???

Brenham & Montgomery both have good defenses, but our district has some pretty explosive offenses.  Brenham, Montgomery, Magnolia West & Stratford all have very impressive offenses.

I have a feeling Montgomery will be going further than Brenham once again this year.

SMH....  You always think Brenham is overrated, and Montgomery is better.  I've seen both teams this year, and Brenham is the better team.  Montgomery is very good, and has a way easier path, but I think Brenham will go further.  The D2 bracket is loaded with good teams such as, Manvel, Terry & La Marque.  IMO, the D1 bracket seems a bit watered down this year.  Reguardless, this is Brenham's year....  Mark it down!

Brenham def.front 3 is best I've seen but #40 a converted secondary player to middle linebacker is the most under rated linebacker I've seen.Lawd that kid had at least 15 solo tackles vs.Stratford.That kid should get more college offers ;)

This is the last of Brenham dominance for a few years so they need a big season.Losing 29 seniors w/alot of playoff exp and leaving 9 jrs-7 soph-1 fresh ret.for 2012 and they are small.Looking @ Stratford they loose 35 seniors, ret for 2012 16 jrs-6 soph.

After this year, we'll have to reload!  ;)

I do not think that Montgomery has an easier path than Brenham.  Brenham may have to deal with Lamarque and Manvel to win the Region, but Montgomery has to deal with Angleton and Dawson.  Then, if they do win the Region, Lake Travis and Denton Ryan are also in the D1 brackett.  Advantage Brenham.

I'm talking about just in region 3, D2 is more difficult.  You saw what Manvel & LaMarque did to the mighty Dawson.  Angleton is good, but their defense is suspect.  Friendswood is having a down year.  In D1 it's all about region 4, with teams like Lake Travis, Cedar Park & Smithson Valley.

Well, that's true.  Brenham probably has the tougher Region.  If they get through it, it's hard to see anyone else taking them out.  I think the State Champ comes out of Region 3.  Montgomery, meanwhile, could win the Region, but that's it for them.
