Lots of tough teams this year... Central, LCM,Vidor, Nederland, and Livingston...are all pretty good...Looks like Mid county madness is gonna be an important game this year....not that is isnt every year....but two losses in a row in district.... not good...
Shea9840 Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 INT Livingston...returned to NDN 24
pngfan66 Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Speed and a hoss back for Livingston. Kudo's to Livingston. PNG stopped themselves to many times when they could have scored. Sounded like it was a yellow flag throwing game too. Wasn't there, listened on the radio. Learn from the mistakes and get ready for Nederland. Livingston sounds like the real deal.
LumRaiderFan Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Great game Livingston...WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!! ;D
lions_pride Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 The indians were pretty disrespectful tonight by acting like they were just gonna take over our stadium. I guess they learned a lesson tonight about respecting all opponents

I guess if you are getting 7+ yards a carry you don't need a passing game. It will be interesting to see if any defense in the district can slow their running game down.

Tim Riggins Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 I had heard somewhere that they were going to mix the pass in more with the Slot-T this year, but this definitely wasn't the game. I figured they were going to be good this year with all the offensive returnees they had and the success they had in '10. Looking at PNG stats, looks like the defense may be a little behind the O.
rjones7696 Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 livingston played good almost let png come back and win,png did come back and take the lead 28-27 . i think liv coach made a couple calls that could of cost him the game. lost a fourth and 3 and a fourth and 1 in the first half on downs. at that point in the game png's defense was not allowing hardly any yards up the middle liv was getting most yards on the outside. fourth and short u have to give 14 a chance to make those plays. i think everyone in the stadium knew an onsides kick was coming when png scored to get withen six points. png coach got a little to fancy trying to a double reverse flea flicker that was intercepted. his team had just stopped the lions on fourth down and killed some momentum for his team. great support from png fans had to watch my first and hopefully last game from the west endzone
Trocket Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 I tip my hat to PNG players they really played hard tonight. Also their coach out coached Livingston coach, who almost gave the game away, by taking Collins off of # 4 who he had shut down most of the night and putting # 15 on him. I called that TD before it happen. PNG has a very smart coach who saw it and took advantage of it, then caught the coaching staff of Livingston by surprise with the onside kick. Everyone in the stadium knew except Livingston coaches. With that kind of coaching and the way the players of PNG are playing hard every down, I still say they will make the playoffs. Teams had better bring their A game to bet this team. Without a doubt they were the best team we have played all year. Good Luck with the rest of your season PNG!! Hope we don't have to play you all again this year. :) :) :) :) :) :)
kenluck Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 It's obvious the Lions wanted to shut down the run and make Miller beat them. Defense did a good job! GO LIONS! Toughest game out of the way.
bjimbo Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Livingston's Oline looks explosive and very durable for their offense

SgtRey Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Remember this...png...is still png... I wouldn't count these young men out of anything, once they get the swing of things, which sounds like it just happened, they will still make a push!

How about we take that into consideratiom
