Anyone traveling to SLU Game

I am the GM of a brand new LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Hammond La and we are offering a Lamer Fan Tailgating Rate for any of you Lamar Diehard football fans that will be traveling to the SLU game on Oct 1st.

Just call and book your room with the hotel at 985-345-4742..tell the Front Desk Clerk you want the Tailgating Rate and we will get you all setup. Normal rates are running between $99 and $109. We are giving y'all a rate of $79!!!!!

We are brand new hotel, have not been open a year yet and we are just trying to reach out to the Fan Base of the teams SLU are playing this season and hopefully if it works out this will become a permanent thing.

Nah dont think so...eventhough we are offering a discounted rate to traveling fans we do support our Lions. We just want to make it alittle easier for y'all to come down and get your butts whipped!!!!

I wouldnt even go that far...I go to maybe 1 or 2 games a year and thats only when I know I can get into the Budweiser Suite.

Honestly Im just trying to drum up buiness for my hotel. I tried to go through the universities themselves but could never get anyone to return my phone calls or emails...so I just started searching for the teams fan forums.

Do I cheer for SLU...sure..I mean I did go there for a whole 2 semesters before deciding to go into the Army..it is the ONLY college credits I have to my name...we did not have a football team when I was there. And just like most everyone else in Louisiana..I bleed purple and gold.

I really have tried to follow SLU football its just so damn inconsistent..one week they will look good the next week they look like a Little Sisters of the Poor team.

Althought since I have to cover the front desk and the LSU game is at 1130(I hate JP) I might make it over there for the game...considering a ticket to the game will only set me back $5.00....how good is Lamar's Team?

[/quote]Lamar's team is AWESOME!!  Just because we have one again.  It should be a good game.  If we do decide to come, do you have any good golf courses in the area?  And what kind of deal can you get us on that.  ;)

Carters in Springfield is by far the best. The old GM dropped the ball in dealing with them and setting up a rate for the hotel for them and a rate for our guest to come play.

You also got Oak Knoll where me and my friends go play its not bad.

And then if your looking for a quick round there is Ironwood...its a Par 3 course.
