Initial examinations of his foot by doctors indicates a possible Lisfranc injury, we are Cautiously optimistic that it ends up being a lesser type of injury because the recovery time for a Lisfranc injury would end his season.
David has a MRI scheduled for Monday which will assist in establishing the exact nature of his injury.

Ok, can you explain the Lisfranc injury, or do I need to Google it?  I'm not being sarcastic, but it sounds like you are familar with the injury.

Thats what I thought.  I had something similar,  I came down on the side of my foot on the edge of the court playing Basketball.  The ER originally thought it was a ligament tear in my ankle, it turns out I broke the bones at the bottom of my foot.  Hurts like you-know-what.  Ended my NBA career.  LOL :) .  Good luck to the Vidor player and I hope he makes it back before the end of the season.

Dont know the kid and dont even know what position he as played up until today. But, my prayers go out to the young man and family. It is very difficult to have your child injured and feeling helpless because we as parents cant fix it! Prayers from Huffman for healing and a speedy recovery.

Okay the latest word on david is he went to get xrays today and they found a fracture on a very small bone in his foot. But i think its a hairline fracture and its a very small bone so he's only out two weeks. He's got the MRI tomorrow and doc said that if his Lisfranc is not injured he should be back in time to play LCM. That gives him missing two games, Lumberton and Ozen.

Just got the word. There is no tendon damage. He's gonna wear the boot and then reexamine after two weeks. More than likely gonna be back for LCM but if we know david you know he's gonna try to be back before then lol.
