#1stangfan Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I am all for changes. Like Coach T alluded to early in his interview...changes are coming. Stick to "we" need to make some changes. Not start calling out the players and their short comings on a radio interview immediately after the game.
Riding Solo Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Still early guys, give the man a break. District is what matters, WOS played a tough non-district schedule.
VNUPE Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 How about changing your offense for starters......we do not have I formation athletes.....

I just don't think he should have pointed the finger at the kids in a radio interview. Maybe others will disagree and I will come around on the topic. My initial reaction is that I am dissapointed....yes in the loss but more so in the post game comments.
adminbaberuth Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Giddings with 6 first downs and wins. WOS defense hasn't missed a beat. Offense will get well during district.
True Blue Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Dont have a dog in this fight But Players( Kids) win games and coaches lose them.. Any coach with any class would never call his team out that this one did. The OC or the Super. need to set this guy down and tell him that>>>
WO-S 89 Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I believe I heard him say he takes full responsibility for the loss.

adminbaberuth Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Missed the interview. After taking responsibilty for lost, what did he say that has everyone upset?

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Not a district game. Now if this happens versus kville then Mustang Nation will need answers. (as in the play on the field). Now for the comments he made that shoulda been kept in house. IMO
#1stangfan Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I know folks say things in the heat of the moment and this will have to be something that he works on. However, he should have stopped at "full responsibilty for the loss, changes are coming, etc." Hopefully he learns from this as well as the Mustangs learning from tonight.
football04 Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Thompson should take all the responsability for the team he puts on the field period, then handle your team behind closed doors, and it's always WE when speaking to the press.
the-riot07 Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Ya'll need to calm down about wos being in trouble and going no where! Yes we lost the game and yes we are weirdly 1-3! But we were definitely the better team tonight and dominated from start to finish!!! The one thing that lost this game was redzone offense! Your not gonna lose many games that you double your oponents stats in every category!!! The oc needs to stay up all night tonight and figure his stuff out for the red zone! Your not always gonna score from 50 yards out! I am highly upset with our record and us losing period, but im not hitting the panic button and im not saying these mustangs arent going anywhere. Because with a defense like this you will always have a chance to win. You don't have to be undefeated to make a long run in the playoffs!!!!
KF89 Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 DISTRICT STARTS A NEW SEASON,THE ONE THAT COUNTS FOR THE PLAYOFFS.WOS SHOULD HANDLE ITS DISTRICT FOES WITH EASE & MAKE THE PLAYOFFS

WOSgrad Posted September 25, 2011 Author Report Posted September 25, 2011 After seeing the Mustangs tonight, I have definite views at to what is ailing the WO-S offense, but I'll just suffice it to say that my views are closer to Coach Thompson's than those on here who criticize him. While I would hope that at some point the offense would be less conservative, there are many things that I saw tonight that support Coach Thompson and Coach Hodges' current thinking with regard to the handing of the offense. With that, I will speak no further on the issue.
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Blaming the kids? Thats just classless. A coach always takes the blame for the losses. That's how it supposed to be.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Nothing is wrong with WOS IMO. It's time to start playing offense up to par with the defense. Tough pre-district schedule and ppl panicking.
Kville_Kats Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011
WOW!!!! What a post game interview from a very ticked off Coach Thompson! I would hate to be those Mustang football players come Monday.Quote from Coach T, "I watched Silsbee last night and the way we are playing right now, they will kill us!!!"Coach speak!!!Thompson pissed!!! Look for WOS to destroy Kirbyville next week.
That should really help his image...lol...I don't think Kirbyville will be "DESTROYED" by WO-S or any other school... ..Wev'e took beatings before... ;D
Kville_Kats Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Boy it's nice to be a measuring stick to see how bad your team really is ;D
