SFA85 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 They were sorry in the last years. Then the newly combined BISD gave the WB job to Hentchel after the death of Durley and Noland was the HC for the 84 and 85 season.
J.T. Williams Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Jerry Hentschel was one of the most overated coaches ever in the Golden Triangle.
Trojanfan Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 I remember South Park, Charlton Pollard, and Hebert, my Fresh. and Soph. year at Cleveland we played them in basketball, some great games.

swampdude Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Steve McCarty (first WOS Head Coach) coached the Greenies at South Park before taking over the WOS program. As long as we are at it, don't forget those Royal Purples at Beaumont High!!

WeedBegone Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Now Beaumont Highs stadium (before the BABE) was fun to go to. Then cruise 11th street--and the midnight Pizza at Pizza Inn or Shakeys. Every friday night on 11th was represented by Greenies, Buffaloes, Purples, Panthers, and Trojans (not the playtex ones). Not to forget, Burger Chef, Patrizis, the Aloha, and Gaylyn theatre with rocking chair seats.
