kicker
Great Story!!!!! The only thing I have is to say that when the coach was talking, he used the phrase "Coup de Grace". That wasnt the right use for the word. He basicaly was saying it would be the "finishing blow" to the kids life, to get in the game. Just wanted to point that out. Great story though!!!! LuvThoseCats
It's great to see that not only Gerard's team but the opposing team and coach recognized that sometimes football is not always about winning the game, it's also about loving the game. Great story though!!!![/quote'] I think it is the correct phrase but he should have said it was the coup de grace for the kid's high school football career, not his life. If the coach would have changed the word "life" to "football", it would have been correct. I hope that it is not the finishing event his life. Guest GoStangs
The video is great... The story is really moving, as well. It was a great moment in that kids' life, but also for the coaches, who saw a bigger picture than a game or its score, and the players, who will also remember being a part of something very special. hssportsfan
We could use more stories like this instead of the idiot coaches and parents fighting in youth sports.
