asary Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Overall, I think Ned has a young team, so this type of competition will help them develop their A game :)
no-look Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 How many starters does Ned have coming back?

They will find their 'A' game when district play begins.
CThoops Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 They are playing some big time talent out there! Games like these help you get better ;) Not saying Nederland is going to go win this tourney, but they will play well enough to compete
Guest twag11 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 St Thomas and St Pius usually have a pretty good team.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Reminds me in 2008 when Tommy Mason-Griffin and Ray Penn had their shoot-out. The best pg's in the city at that time.

You mean that same 'weak' group who has won 90+ games since 7th grade and lost less than 5? Ya, I wouldn't worry about them either. ::)

Honest Abe Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 I know it doesn't happen that way, Dove. It was a joke! Every time Ned (or MC Flight) plays in Houston, they always play 'weak opponents'-in your opinion. BLUEDOVE3 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Actually its a good opp for the Nederland kids. There will be some media types to look at the big (name) boys. ESPN.com and Atlanta based CourtCred.com just to name a couple. Maybe one, maybe two Nederland players will have a coming out game and receive some national exposure. That would be great for your program. Like I've said before, I've always admired Coach English for taking on the bigger programs and not running scared, unlike some other programs (which will remain nameless) in this area. 8)
