PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Who do yall know of that has a great track team? Or what school actually cares about track??
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Report Posted November 21, 2006 I wish my school made an effort to give track some attension....it seemed like all the ad cares about is football....this isnt fair to the kids that are really good at track events.
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Report Posted November 21, 2006 Liberty athletes have alot of speed and talent, but it seems like every year something goes wrong and we end up second in district. Our relay teams usually go to regionals and end up 6th or 7th. But its still sad because we could win dc's every year but nobody cares.
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Report Posted November 21, 2006 ITs sad to see another class from lhs not fullfil its potiential.
Zoneblock Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Hopefully H - F will have a good track team this year. The showed signs of improving last year maybe this year they can turn the corner and mix it up a little with some of the big boys. Nothing Better than going to watch a good track meet and see some of the amazing things area Kids can accomplish with their feet.
ozens fastest@1906 Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Yeah im with zoneblock... i cant wait until spring so i can see what type speed, heart, and desire our kids in setx have on the track
Zoneblock Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 i hear ya im ready to see some mile relays run. The mile relay is just like football 4 hard Quarters!!
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 not sure about this year but Jasper normally has a good track team
Guest Sports Cards Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I think BC has won 6 of the last 7 district championships. They care about track a lot there, but this should be a down year for the team, because the distant runners are in a "rebuilding" year. They lost the district champion shot put, discuss, Hurdler, high jump, 800, mile and two miler.... They have some talent coming back this year, but in the new district it'll be a tough task to keep that streak going.....
j_dog Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 not sure about this year but Jasper normally has a good track team The big question is how can Jasper replace Coach Spoon. He WAS the track program.
fruitcity Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 wos has a huge trak team this year i went to the meeting to day and they had at least 40 people in there. plus coach said that there will b some more people coming 4rm basketball
t-time Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 HJ lost Clifton Simien, but Brian Box is stepping up on the hurdles.
cardinalcc Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 I don't know how good the bc sprinters are going to be this year but we have a 400 runner who should or come close to breaking 50. We also have several good distance runners who should all be healthy and ready for track.
jaggra Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Come on. The guys aren't the only ones that are fast. The Silsbee Girls Track Team has been won district the last two years. They have a really good 4x100 and 4x200 relay team. Also some really good individuals. Pretty well rounded.
AggiesAreWe Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 The Silsbee boys were district track champions last year.
Guest Sports Cards Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 The Silsbee boys were district track champions last year.Bridge City beat Silsbee at a meet last year, it came down to the mile relay, in which BC was pretty strong. This year will be a different story though, with that great senior class gone. District Champs: Shotput, Discuss, Highjump, 110 and 300m hurdles, mile, two mile... all graduated. We should have some talent coming back this year though.
Go-rilla Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 pantherplaya why are you on here lying about liberty track results. yall came in 4th not second in district last year. Behind BH, Huffman, tarkington. yall are talented athletes but dont blame the AD because yall are ineligible or LAZY. yall have about 7 kids that compete and carry that program ( in every sport ) where are the rest. White, Gee, Beatty, Winters, Connevey, a few others.
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 Hey gorilla, I didnt say we came in second last year in district!! I go to a small school of course 7 or 8 kids standout among the rest of us. Were not in disagrement! Im just saying if everyone partisipated we would do alittle bit better.
TheMadMan19 Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 BRIAN BOX...of Hardin-Jefferson...enough said
Guest distancerunner10 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 maybe liberty can win a district championship now without BH and huffman
ncplaya Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 They still got beat by Tarkington last year. Coldspring, Tarkington, and Liberty will battle it out for first.
