This s an extremely togh 2A district. Five playoff contenders. Each of which have the ability to win this district. I think next week will be a tell-tell week. It'll provide a little better of an outlook on this district.

Newton will rebound and they will win the district.... East Chambers snuck a win in last night, and so if they beat either Anahuac or Buna, they'll find themselves in the mix...

It's amazing no one ever gives EC a chance. Everyone always saying it is gonna be Newton, Anahuac, Woodville, Hardin or Buna"s year. Hate to tell you but EC has been and is still amongst the best in the district. GO BUCS

Injuries will tell the tale here but I don't see but a 4 team race.EC/Newton/Anahuac/Buna=the team that stays healthy wins it.

Right now this Region III as a whole is very interesting.  I dont know if there is any team you can look at this year and say wow, they are just rolling.  Of course, in this district you have several teams that are going to be fighting for 3 spots.  If you can make the playoffs, I think anyone could have the potential of making a nice run.

Oh, another non commit reply. You going to wait until EC wins the title to come out and say how you knew it all along and then chastize everyone that backed their team up front? It's easy to make any kind of remarks after the fact. I think EC is a good football team and don't mind saying it. Newton, Buna, Anahuac, and Woodville are also good football teams. Some good teams are going to be sitting at home when the playoffs start. Newton is not going to be one of them.

I think the 3 playoff teams are gonna be Newton Anahuac And East Chambers (not necessarily in that order)

I'd say Newton, Anahuac, then East Chambers.. but I hope EC proves me wrong. Seen them play before, they can make it happen if they really want it.
