Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 How about a guy who was leading tackler on defense and had the most offensive yards as well.
liltex Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 Cool but @ 5'8 150 # Herrera was playing big boy running for his health(defense)and throwing on the fly as those big quick GP linemen was smashing through da line EVERY down ;)
bronco pride Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 5"8 150 are you sure everybody on our team must be huge. Just kidding ah had a good game so did logan.

NHS1990 Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 Nederland's 'D' line deserves a consideration. PNg avg 35pts/game. Held them to 21. 8 sacks. Less than 90 yd rushing
liltex Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 That's a good nomination for trench award but to me not as impressive as Liv D shutting out Central & holding them under 80 tot yds.my #1 trench award nominee for the SETXsports show tomorrow evening.
NHS1990 Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 Central also lost their quarterback during the first series of the game
kcat-fan Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 voted for Quirante...that young man is impressive on both sides of the ball ;)

RocketMan Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 I guess I am a little confussed. But on channel 12 the blitz I saw the other QB Powell throw for a TD and run a Lumberton running back down fom behind from the other side of the field to save a TD. It looked like he was really fast. I also read in the paper he had a 45 yard TD run himself and he had the most combined yards for the Vidor offense Friday. The Quirante Kid had two big runs himself . So both of these boys seem to be a big part of there offense and defense. I saw the Nederland game last week and the Powell kid was impressive. He almost brought the pirates back to win the game in Nederland after the halfback went out. How is the player of the week decided? Is it the coaches of the team that puts them up or is it the newspaper?
finger roll Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 I gotta go with Roberts of EC. 294 yards against Newton.
robanadana Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Regardless of who the player of last week is, both Powell and Quirante return for the Pirates next season!!!!
