WOSgrad Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 Ya know what would be a neat conclusion, if Dillon (or East Dillon) would face in the finals....you guessed it...Odessa Permian! It is ironic that the movie and the subequent series has had such a warm reception here in Texas considering the fact that I remember the author of the book "Friday Night Lights" received Salman Rushdie-type treatment in Texas when that thing came out.
Alpha Wolf Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I love the series and the movies. Dillion is actually a spin off of Pflugerville which is North of Austin. I think they will use one of the other modern day power houses, South Lake, Lake Travis, Allen, etc.
Indian Fan Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 Whatever it is, football fans will watch it. I don't believe a bad football movie has been made yet. I'll watch any of them over and over.
kicker Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I get made fun of for it, but I love varsity blues. Sure, its very exaggerated, but a lot of it is true. It's just a very entertaining movie.
Alpha Wolf Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I'm quite sure they could make a great movie using the history of WO-S or PN-G.

There never has been a bad football movie!!!!
Guest ECBucFan Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Anyone know where the thread is regarding the Series finale? I looked back and cannot find it. Thanks.
