Could have been worse.  It was a running clock.  Lee got to the Dayton 3, turned it over on downs and Dayton' first play after that was a 97 yard touchdown.  Right now at the half in the JV game it's 20 - 0 Dayton. I heard that the Freshmen B game was 14 - 0 Dayton.

YES!  We're gonna pin our hopes on that Freshmen B team.
[/quote]Not on a B team.  Last year this 9th grade bunch beat the tar out of Cunningham (North Shore's main feeder school).  That was the first time Cunningham has a lost a football game in years.  The Dayton 9th grade bunch has 5 legit athletes with break away speed and lots of size.  I would think before next year is over, they are seeing some action at least on the defensive side of the ball.

I meant "we" as Gander fans are pinning our hopes on that B team, because they were the closest one to a victory.

in Nederland

Freshman B  20  Livingston 18

Nederland defense stopped 2 point conversion with 3 seconds left in the game to notch the win.

Freshman A  49  Livingston 6

Livingston scores first and Nederland answers with 49 straight points. RB Barton scored 4 times for Ned. QB Seay had usual great game. Back-up RB scored to TD's in second half as Nederland pulled their horses. Defense was outstanding at attacking Livingstons O.

Freshman A is now 6-0 and getting better every game.

Silsbee JV          30
Orangefield JV      0

There was no 9th grade game. Orangefield has no freshman team.

Actually that was our freshmen team...they moved all the sophmores up to varsity before the season started and kept the freshmen team together. You sure that wasn't Silsbee's freshmen too???

Best Freshman team in SE Texas and possibly greater houston area as well.
