SteelerCzy Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Both teams looking to bounce back from losses last week, Pirates lost a tough, hard fought game to San Augustine 0 - 12 and Groveton lost to Hemphill 38 - 64.Pirates get the victory at home, 26 - 12
casualobserver Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 If Deweyville plays as hard as they did against San Augustine then they will have a really good chance to pull out the W
wildcats35 Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 That freshman QB Groveton has is GOOD......On the other hand, Deweyville's D is probably a little better than Hemphill's. Could go either way....24-16 Groveton. Could be more scoring in this game as Groveton' D wasnt very good. This game's a toss up!
Guest Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 Groveton should win this one. Deweyville is the slowest team in the district. The lack of speed for the Pirates will make sure that Groveton "D" will bounce back this week.
mmccary Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 I will go with Deweyville in this one, but only if the play from the QB gets better.

wildcats35 Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 I would not ever over look the pirates.....They might be slow but they have always and might one of the most physical teams in the district. One thing you count on for Deweyville is that they are going to play hard every week. I wonder if they will drop to 1a? Does anyone know what their numbers are now? They have to be close to 1A numbers.

Eazy Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 Another good game here. I was a little surprised by the 12-0 score in last week's SA-Deweyville game. Not sure how good Deweyville is. I understand that Deweyville had 7 turnovers, so it sounds like they could have won that game. I'll still have to go with Groveton 21-17.
