PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 11, 2011 Author Report Posted October 11, 2011 Barbers Hill is #3 because they have Brenham in round 2. Not saying the Eagles will automatically lose, but they will be an underdog. IMO, the spot where Barbers Hill will end up (assuming they win out, which they should) is probably the toughest part of the bracket. Nederland and the winner of the Dayton vs Livingston game should be favored in round 2.It's kind of ashame, but since they redid the brackets last year, 19 and 20 4A isn't in the same part of the bracket as HISD (which is like an automatic victory). 24-4A played the HISD schools in round two last year and pounded all four teams. And to the reply above, LaMarque got 4th place in district but ended up in the state championship game, so who had the better season, Friendswood or LaMarque, the further you get into the playoffs, well, you got the bragging rights when the other teams have to buy tickets to watch you play football.

Its crazy to rank Livingston ahead of Nederland after that butt whipping they got in Jefferson County. Oh well..
Don't feel bad we beat Ned and yall took it to Livingson and we are at #3. The trick to this is that it is not a Current ranking! This is rankings for how far he thinks you will get in the playoffs which is no way to rank teams IMO. Teams should be ranked for their strengh not ranked higher because they have an easier road in the playoffs! Good Lord ::) For any person with sense the top three would be.BHNEDLivingston
PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 13, 2011 Author Report Posted October 13, 2011 It's that time of the week. The FEARLESS PREDICTIONS are at...http://www.toupsgraphics.com/fridaynightlights.htmlThis week is highlighted by 1 big game in 19-4A and three in 20-4A.In 19-4A GC Memorial can make a huge move to the playoffs if they can upend the Broncos.20-4A features three great games. Can the Jaguars continue their winning streak, problem is they are playing the top notch Bulldogs.LC-M and Vidor lock horns in the 4A Orange County Bowl (loser might just be out of the playoff race) and finallyat the Reservation can Ozen march the Indians down the trail of tears. The Indians are basically in a must win situation this week, can they come out on top of a very good Ozen team?
PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 14, 2011 Author Report Posted October 14, 2011 Walk outside this morning and it feels like fall again! Good luck to all the teams this evening! Another great night for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!

PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 15, 2011 Author Report Posted October 15, 2011 The results are at...http://www.toupsgraphics.com/fridaynightlights.htmlThe Power Rankings are updated with LINKS TO THE 2010 PLAYOFF BRACKETS.Congrats to Vidor and Goose Creek Memorial for breaking into the rankings. The best part of my video last night was the halftime performance. (speaking of... PN-G's stadium must be rocking with the UIL band competiton there today).Enjoy the reading, and study the bracket pair ups yourself.

liltex Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 Don't count on that Toups.Humble lost 13-7 to Huntsville last night.Wildcats must have fizzled like Dayt.2 int/4 fumbles ;D
NorthoftheBorder Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 When Crosby beat Dayton, they ended up watching Dayton play two more playoff games. Who had the better season? That still doesn't change the fact that when they played head up, Dayton got throttled! On another note, I like you P4E so I am worried about you as the Broncos spiral toward the bottom. Remember, nothing is permanant. This may be a short lived experience of the Broncos looking like "also ran's".

Merka would throw it with too much velocity sometimes, and would go cold in stretches. Crosby also suffered from lots of dropped passes his senior year. Like Merka, Aston will also beat you with his feet but Aston is much quicker coming out of the pocket. He's very, very slippery. At this point, Crosby leads the district in total offense, rushing, and points scored. In fact, Crosby has scored about 75 more points than they had this point last year. We have a new star QB.
ragarm55 Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 If, as reported, Livingston has lost "The Bull" for the season...that might alter their final positioning.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted October 16, 2011 Author Report Posted October 16, 2011 If the Livingston running back is out, we will see in their next few games. There is still a lot of horse power for Livingston. It looks like PN-G and Livingston will be the division II seeds and Livingston has beaten PN-G. Looking at the bracket from last year, the winner of that game easily has the weakest 2nd round opponent (Crosby vs Vidor winner may also have a weaker opponent). The third round game, when 19-4A and 20-4A will square off against 24-4A, that part of the brackets is against the weakest of 24-4A. Still three weeks left to go, but two things are pretty certain. If Nederland keeps winning they will be paired up with Pearland Dawson in round III and the winner of the PN-G vs Barbers Hill winner gets Brenham in round 2 (easily the worst part of the bracket to be in).
