Which state has the best high school talent?

Big debate in office today. My boss who is from Orlando thinks Florida has better high school talent than Texas. When we looked at the top 10 schools in college football, Texas born players out number FL 4-1. Your thoughts?

texas outnumbered florida 25 million to just under 19 million in total population in 2010. So that has to figure in, but overall, I think the nod has to go to texas. Florida seems to be a hot bed for great skill kids though. Texas catches/passes them up in the big nasty dept.

Texas had the highest number of players who received Division I scholarships in the 2011.  I believe it was in the low 300's

Florida is the speed state, that doesn't surprise me because there arent many linebackers/safeties in the espn top 100. Also tons of players who become good in college from texas played a different position in highschool.

If i want a good defensive kid i go to texas, a fast back or wide out? i go to Flordia, a good west coast style thrower i go to cali, offensive linemen as well.

take every great player who played for the university of miami together and they will dominate any other great schools combined

I say Texas..Yea Florida has the speed, but So does Texas..

Scrambler-Houston Metro,Dallas Metro,SETX,

Speed/Skill- you have Dallas-Fort Worth Metro, Houston, Southeast Texas,East Texas,Centex ect. (I mean we did have the fastest kid/Team in the Nation G.P. Northshore, ran 10:15 in the 100, 40. in the 4x1 and 1:23 in the 4x2 and still hold the fastest time ever in the 100 set by a guy from Jasper :) )

Big O Lineman/DLine- West Texas, Panhandle,Houston Metro,East Texas, Dallas-FT WorthMetro ,Centex,Austin, San Antonio

Linebackers/Tightends-Centex,Dallas,Houston,Setx,East Texas,West Texas,Pan Handle

1. The University of Texas @ Norman, OK.
2. The University of Texas @ Stillwater, OK.
3. The University of Texas @ Lawrence, KS.
4. The University of Texas @ Manhattan, KS.
5. The University of Texas @ Lincoln, NE.
6. The University of Texas @ Fayetteville, AR.
7. Most of the universities in Louisiana including McNeese and LSU, who recruits heavily in our area.
8. Without the city of Dallas, Oklahoma would be a Div. II school.

Courting? Just go to the hs recruiting sites and really see who are your top 100's and see what State they reside in

Just listen to college coaches when they talk about recruiting.  They will all say that you better recruit the state of TEXAS.  Everyone in the SEC is excited about Texas A&M joining the conference because it gives them a better chance at recruiting TEXAS athletes.  If you want to win and I mean win big, you better recruit TEXAS!!!
