Don't know about the hype, but lots of mutual respect between these Chambers Co. neighbors. Good to see!

We (Nederland) respect PNG as well, but we sure have a lot to say to each other during MCM! It's mostly tasteful, entertaining, and funny. Would just like to hear more about these two teams.  :)

Well, Anahuac is 5-1 and is runaway #1 ranked small school team here on SETXSports. I think they got 8 of the 10 number 1 votes. Their only loss was to Houston Kinkade, a large, athletically stacked private school. Anahuac is coming off of an impressive win vs. Buna. Anahuac is well coached and loaded with speed.

This is a huge challenge for EC. The Bucs will need to avoid turnovers (gave away 14 points to Newton two weeks ago), and play defense with high intensity from beginning to end. Last two years have been nail biters with both games going down to the wire.

Looking at the stats, I still think EC wins the game.... I am the lone voter who ranked EC #1 in the polls....

Stats and records dont mean alot in this game, I think this game can go either way, the team that makes the fewest mistakes should win . E.C  matches up with Anahuac speed well, the last 2 match up's was low scoring games . I think Anahuac will win but i would'nt be surprised if we loose. E.C is a good team if not Newton would have beaten them so Anahuac has there work cut out for them tonight, Good Luck and let the best team win.

No matter who is at the helm in Winnie, EC is going to be tough and physical. Anahuac has dealt with injuries all season. Both teams have respect and want to do their talking on the field. These towns are so close that most fans do their talking during the work week. With that being said I believe this is the year that Anahuac gets a win.

Nobody gave EC a chance against Newton. They said Newton wins by however much they want to.There still seems to be some disbelievers. It seems to me that no one is following 2A football much because the talk doesn't make sense. They say the stats are similiar, but who has Anahuac played so far? EC has only lost two games, both to 3A and equivalent schools. This [b]IS[u][/u][/b] the game of the week hands down. No one will be disappointed if they want some excitement tonight. Defense wins champiionships. The defense will determine the game tonight! Come watch!

I believe I picked them to win and took a lot of flack for it, that is, until the game was over. I also believe that AP will be on the winning side of this one. I am not scared I know a place that does crow right!

At least on this board, you are correct. After EC second consecutive win vs. Newton, Coach Russ told the team that NOBODY believed the Bucs, EXCEPT himself, the staff, and the Buc community in the stands.

Actually i dont think all of the Buc community  believe in themm... That is sad i know but i think its true.

This should be a great game regardless of stats. EC has proved tough already. I think they will edge out AP.

38 to Zip! EC dominated tonight.  The defense played over the top. Anahuac did not know what hit them. Hats off to HubTx. Thanks for the support and to all the believers. I will have Anahuac's stats tomorrow but I can tell you it wasn't 10 yards per carry. Don't mean to disrespect Anahuac just give us our respect. Good luck to Anahuac the rest of the year! One bit of advice would be to always believe in yourself and most of all, NEVER QUIT!
