Purple Runs Deep Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 There are not many things more thrilling in football than a bomb thrown for a touchdown. In your opinion who had the best cannon ever in SETX?
NHS1990 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Robert Ford from TJ could chunk it a mile.

Purple Runs Deep Posted October 14, 2011 Author Report Posted October 14, 2011 Yep, I remember watching Sullivan, dude had a rifle... went on to pitch at Houston i think.

Bigdog Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 No doubt McFarland had a rifle. I hated running routes for him!
NDNWarrior Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Dustin Long-Png "Poetry in Motion"......I loved to watch Dustin chunk the pigskin.....totally awesome!
Guest Pirate_pride_07 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Are we talking not just this year?
Lefty99 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Shelby Shaw - Kirbyville in the mid late 80's had one heck of an arm. Still had it in his 30's. Could throw 50 yards on a rope like most throw 15-20 no kidding (in his 30's). Also pitched at McNeese and made AA for the Rangers.

Not all of the people I listed are great passers, per se, but they could all throw it DEEP!
baddog Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Dustin Hood, Nederland.....could hit Ryan Butler in the numbers. Best I have seen.

True Blue Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 1980 TJs Todd Dodge to Brett Duhoun was in the paper ever Sat. morring
bulldog1984 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 what about that kid Eckard from Lumberton.. i remember him throwing over 50 times in a number of games. not sure if he could throw the long ball ?
BMTSoulja1 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 I remember that kid. He was very accurate. He had a really good reciever. I think his name was Hare (sp)? Anyways, he had a good reciever and he found him often and put up huge numbers. I don't know about the deep ball, though.
