Both defenses played outstanding while penalties on offense killed the Tigers
Tigers on the 2, 1st down and disaster. BC had jumped off side on and 4th and 2 earlier and a pass interference call in the endzone against BC didn't help BC on that drive either.

JMO....Bridge City was more athletic. Silsbee for some reason seems to go for the homerun ball too much. If they just grind it out, they would be hard to beat.

I agree with your last statement 100%!  Grind it out Silsbee.

Congratulations BC on the big win.  The Tigers have to quit making the big mistakes on offense.  Both BC and OF last week played great games,  but both weeks the Tigers have moved the ball well and not been able to score.  Too many penalties deep in the opponents territory and some bad passes as well.  We have got to establish the running game and utilize it.  The Tigers defense is staying on the field entirely too long.  To start the second half BC had a good time eating drive.  What do we do when we get the ball...three straight incomplete passes giving BC the ball right back.  Our defense looked exhausted in the second half.  At least a couple of those int's were the result of penalties pushing us back into long yardage situations.  Forcing the QB's to feel like they needed to make long throws.  I have been a little disappointed in our big oline as well. BC was doing a good job covering our receivers but we weren't giving the QB's much time to throw the ball either.  They spent too much time on the run.  Most of those int's were long floating passes.  We looked ok when we threw the shorter quick passes.  We need to get these kinks out.  Another great job by the Tiger D,  now lets get this offense going,  lots of weapons just need to stop misfiring.

Bc defense won this game offense is going to have to improve a lot if they are going to win district and go anywhere in the playoffs defense is staying on field way to much. Bridge City's offense has struggled against all the teams they have played with good defenses vidor, Kelly and now silsbee been watching bc football since the early 70's IMO this is one of the best defenses they have had since the 2001 and the 2002 teams if silsbee's offense would have played better the game would have been one-sided don't think silsbee used spears near enough quote author=ST413 link=topic=89791.msg1083576#msg1083576 date=1318652644]

INT 6! Reed and Drake both need to sit down and figure out how not to have a game like this again. Silsbee QB's played like they didnt undertsand how to read coverage. Nice win BC.

Santa....the QB's actualy played well. With six interceptions I am still going to say that both QB's played just fine.

I know that what I said might sound stupid, but if you were at the game, you would understand how they happend and why it happend.

I am very proud of both QB's for Silsbee tonight.  Is there work to be done....dont know about that?  One small change, would have solved it.

Was there really not a punt by either team in a 6-0 defensive game?
Plenty of punts but no fumbles any team.

Ok thanks.  You never can tell if the stats turned into the newspapers are correct.

So Santa is supposedly from silsbee and he gives up on them early in the third? Just like many other silsbee fans tonight... It's a shame you lose one game and hope is lost. They'll be fine trust me, I don't know if you noticed but drake sat out 5 plays max and everyone expects him to come in after throwing one pass all season and excel against a pretty good defense? Yes silsbee had mistakes and penalties that cost them this game, but it was no single persons fault. They'll be just fine.

I feel sorry for the Silsbee defensive players and defensive coaches. What an effort and to still lose
Yes indeed. Silsbee defense played well enough to win by 2 TD's!
And the same could be said for BC's defense.
