FROM LOOKING AT THE PIC I SCORE IT AT AROUND 162 AND THATS JUST FROM THE POINTS I SEE. ITS HARD TO JUDGE FROM A PIC BUT I BET IM CLOSE.

I GUESS THE 11TH POINT IS PROBABLY A KICKER

I was going to guess about 155 but from the looks of it, it could certainly be larger.

I dont see it CATS80 - rescored and still cant quite get to 150

I got him as follows -

28" mass

42" mains

18" spread

60" tines (and thats probably high)

148" total w/o the kicker that I cant find.

Still, a great deer :D !

Wrong, I scored it.....

Went 165 and change.

The right G2 is broken off at the kicker base. That is the kicker that you see.

That loses about 7 inches.

Unbroken would have been 172.

Picture does not do deer justice.

I guess not!

What were the measurements?

I figured that your spread and main beams are short changed. Maybe some on the mass.

Hard to tell without another angle or side shot.[/quote]

True. But, even if you give him 23" main beams and an inside spread of 20" that still leaves me 9" short on the tines. Maybe BucketSitR can give us all the measurements.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

He must have carried good mass all the way (cant tell from pic but I guessed 5,4,3,2) and I mssied his G2's and G3's by a mile  How big were his G2's and 3's?

Posted

4 3/8, 4 1/8, 4 4/8, 3 6/8 Mass carried

5 4/8, 12 1/8, 10 4/8, 6 6/8 Tines

5 inches deduct ain't bad for that many inches. The worst was for the broke G2.

Gave him a hard time. Should have let him breed more!!!!!!!!!!!

Great buck........ My brother killed a 169 non-typical in Sabine County this year too..... It did have about 15 inches of deductions though leaving him at 154 typical... I have seen Ronnie's deer pics before and trust me he is most definatley a 165.....
