West Sabine vs. West Hardin Game Thread/West Sabine wins!

Ok folks, it really stinks that we lost the game tonight.  However on the positive side, my Oilers never quit.

Our Offense was able to move the ball really well, but some untimely penalties & ill timed interceptions proved to be our down fall against West Sabine.

Our Defense looked really good, back to the ball swarming team I've watched earlier this year.  Just a few big plays were given up, WS's 1st TD is an example.  Our CB broke inside & the WR went out to the corner wide open.

West Hardin intercepted W.S. and drove the field down to the 6yd line, then trying to hit an out pattern for the game tying TD was intercepted by #5 of WS and ran back to their 15yd line.

Even though my boys lost, I for one am exteremly proud of them for fighting back.  Going to be a great game in Daisetta next Friday!  Looking forward to it, because we have to win out to make the playoffs.

See ya Friday KittyKat 55!  ;)

what happened to wh at the first of the season they were hot as firecrackers ,do they have injuries?

We do have some lingering injuries and ann illness bug was floating around, but they just fell apart against Lovelady & had a few too many mistakes against West Sabine.

We'll see how the players feel on Monday, but should be more than ready for the Bobcats on Friday.

It's Do or Die for these last two games, we've got to win to make the playoffs.

After an impressive 6-0 start, where West Hardin blew through the competition, the then red-hot Oilers went into district coming off a bye week, found themselves staring at a loaded gun in Lovelady. The lions more outplayed than outmatched the Oilers. The end of the first quarter showed a score that would rival most lopsided blowouts, as Lovelady jumped out front and never looked back while West Hardin unraveled. This week, facing a team that has given West Hardin fits (West Sabine), they hoped to get back onto track, but after playing a much better game, the Oilers found themselves on the little end of the scoreboard once again. Now 6-2, the fate of Saratoga's playoff dreams lies just down the road apiece in Daisetta, where they will face their rivals out of Liberty county next Friday...  The Bobcats started the season slow but have since came on strong. Weeks ago this game would have been tallied up as a laugher before the players ever set foot on the field, but now the stakes are high as the door to the playoffs more than likely ends for one of these teams.  It's a grudge match and all bets are off.  I'd expect nothing more than an intense, no holds barred dog/cat fight. See ya Friday, HD.

WH needs to step it up lovelady was one thing no complaint there yes they could of played better and made it a closer game but that was a T.E.A.M they will go far this year, now last night still not seeing tha WH team that started tha this season west sabine was absolutely nothing we couldnt of competed wit and last night idk wat else to say bout it but wake up get ready for tha rest of tha season it ain't over yet and I I wont is to see a team out of tha first round of tha playoffs and letting one player (#5)make a high light film against u like it was a practice ain't gonna do it I can't imagine wat tha score would of been if WS would of had 2 or 3 more good backs, watch film study teams ahead and linebackers stay home I know u have ur drops....cut back,,,,counter,,,,trap,,, practice it

West Sabine's quarterback #5-Desmond Lacey had another great game. He gets at least 300+ yards passing and rushing every game. I really wished one of WS top running backs was not injured and out of the game. I bet they would have blown the oilers out the water. I also know that despite the bad calls WS came out on top. It was a good game though, but WS clearly could have played better if they hadn't made unforced errors. The defense only gave up two TD's. This was impressive considering what they've been giving up. All I can say is way to go TIGERS!! Can't wait to see them next week.
