Ned and Livingston are locks. Vidor looking good, but COULD lose final 3 games (I don't see it happening though). PNG has lost to the best 2 teams (IMO) Ned and Liv. Ozen still has to play Ned and Livingston- not good for them. Even if they end up 4-3, they still lose a tie breaker w/PNG and Vidor.

I like our chances in all three of our final games. Seems everyone keeps selling the Pirates short. Please remember Nederville beat us on a fourth and 18 [b]IN THEIR STADIUM[/b] with time running out! David Bolinger returns this week against Central. And, DEFENSE wins championships. Last I checked, we lead the district in this category. But I could be mistaken because we haven't really played anyone....

The team defensive numbers before last night were pretty much the same between the two teams.  I will say that Nederland has played the 2 best offenses in Livingston and PNG while Vidor hasn't.

Both teams have very good defenses, and we will be able to tell who's D is the best after the season when everyone has played.

I think the real test for the Dogs is this Friday, it's not hard to get up for the big games but when you know you should win easily it can be distracting. The Dogs need to stay focused and not let down any.

Anyone who was at that game knows full well that we gave Nederland the best game they have had this year and we gave them that game with our LEADING RUSHER at the time out of the game. Not taking anything away from Nederland. They did what they needed to do to win. But IMO they got lucky and if Nederland and Vidor met again it would be a different outcome.

It's just my opinion but the reason that you lost the game was because late in the 4th when you needed to pin the Dogs deep in their own end your punter hit the worst punt of the night. If the Dogs had been deep in their end could they have driven down the field in the time left, I'm not sure. But when you give them the ball on the 40 they had a short field and that was not good for you guys.

That could be debated. PN-G lost to Nederland 24-21. That's the most anyone's scored on Nederland in district (maybe all season, not sure), and it happens to be Mid-County Madness. If it weren't for a failed fourth and inches conversion, the game may have gone to PN-G.
