Well we got 3 of 5 starters back from last year... losing McDaniel hurt but I saw some underclassmen step up in the playoffs and in the last game against Crockett and expect some good things by playoff time.. I look for us to be top 5 in 2A before playoffs start.. also got a move in that I watched in summer league ... looks like he will be a pretty good post.

Evadale's #17 ranking is a good place to start. The Rebels will return three starters from last years State Runner Up team in shooting guard, Devon Murphy; small forward, Shawn Totten and point guard, Brandon Bruce.

The Rebels lost the big senior class in numbers and height, but a couple of other players from last years team can be looked on to fill those wholes. Post, Kyle Taylor got plenty of playing time last season and playoff experience as well. Bradien Burford also was brought up from the JV by coach Laurence Williams so there are five players (four of those are seniors) who bring plenty of experience and knowledge of the system into this season.

There are some talented players that will make the move up from the JV squad too!

I look of them to strugel in predist. just like in football, but by the time dist. rolls around they should be playing good ball. The key to this yr, as in all yrs, is to limit the turnovers, and get their shooting guard open looks. They are going to be smaller than they have been in 3 yrs, so they will have to relia on speed and good shooting.

[/quote]yeah replacing the dist MVP and the dist leader in steals is goin to be really hard, and right now starting the season they only have one real thret (#3) thats why someone else is going to be able to step up and take some of the pressure off of #3
