mypooh Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Wow !!! Hot debt here. I think that these are people voting on who they have seen play. You can only post on who you've seen. There is a solid group of LB at PAM all I will say is they will hit you. No one I say no one has ran on them to this point. That will be tested against LaPorte this week.

Getting some D1 attention now.
#54 would be David Hollyfield. He is a defensive tackle, not linebacker.I'll take Silsbee's JK Keefer. 4 year starter for the Tigers, the bell cow of the defense!! Been making plays and calling the plays on varsity since he was 14 years old.
magic Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Hey aggie, keefer has no profile on scout, rivals or espn. If you have time for 20000 posts, you probably have time to help him put together a highlight tape so they can see what he can do

robanadana Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I believe Montana Quirante of Vidor would be if he wasn't going both ways. Definately the MVP of 20-4A if the vote were held today. Remember that Montana's only a junior as well.

EX-Ceauxch Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Oh, I see...TCU scout... Pius, BC, EC...that's your tough games to be considered the best LB in the area?I'm reminded of a famous quote I heard today, "Come on MAN!!"When and where is the next game? I will try to make it.

Or you could wait for our first playoff game (it is for sure a home game) maybe that will be good enough competition for you as they will most likely play a good Dallas/Fort Worth team?
EX-Ceauxch Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Oct.27 Ned vs. OzenOct.28 PAM vs. LaPorteNov. 4 -Depending on th 20-4a results from this week I will come see you guys play Houston Christian Nov. 5 WB vs. LaporteAnd I will give Kelly players credit if they desirve it! I coached Joe Chassion (Arkansas)at WB and he was a Kelly transfer. I gave him a lot of credit. Of course he had C. Mike (Tx A&M) and Albert Williams (Tulane) in the backfield with him that made him look even better. Also had Blake Kelly (Tx Tech) and Dre Williams (Iowa St.) and E.J. Leblanc (Blinn JC/ National Champs) as WR.All I'm saying is that I disagree that he is the best LB in the area. But, I have not seen him for myself on Friday night. I will make it a point to come see him play on Nov.4 before I give you my blessing...lolCan you spot me a $5 for the ticket? I don't think they will honor my THSCA card for addmission.
Eagle0011 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 I have not seen most of these other LBs play, but if you are in HS and you are a 4 yr starter at LB, you are special. Starting at one of the toughest positions in football at the varsity level at the age of 14 is impressive and sounds like SETX has a few kids that are 4 yr starters at LB. I would put the talent in SETX vs any part of the nation. On what I have seen my vote goes to Rueter of BH. I don't know if he will go D1 or not, but in the HS ranks he is as good as it gets. It would be a injustice if he does not go onto the next level. He has the best nose for the ball that I have seen and loves to knock the @#^% out of backs. Old school, hard nose, blue collar football player. He is fun to watch.
magic Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 EX, Kelly will definetly let you use your coaches pass so you won't need the 5 bucks.

tracker1012 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 who gives a #%&*^&^ about your blessing ex coach
Nederland Dog 2006 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Nederland's #25. Jordan Wood. Staright up football player. And Brett Brown #45 played some LB this year and laid the wood a couple of times.
Razor Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Stampley for Nederland has been extremely active this season as well...real good group of LB's there at Nederland.
BigDog007 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 Nederland inside LB'S Jordan Woods and Brett Brown Oh lets just be honest about this lets just say the best DEFENSE in the area is NEDERLANDS. WHO LET THE DOGS OUT
bulldawg64 Posted October 24, 2011 Report Posted October 24, 2011 even though brown has been playing fullbackhes the best as laying a hit on someone forhis size he plays like a monster, like tosee him back on defense!

EX-Ceauxch Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 I agree. Ned LB's look good. So do PAM's LB's.Thanks, tracker & magic. I'll be there with bells on! LolMy blessings are not passed out freely! LolI coached some good ones. They played at the next 2 levels!I bet the scouts say pretty close to my comments. I said he looked good, strong and pursues the football well. I just said he looked a little slow. LB's these days have to be able to cover as well as stuff holes and pursue. So he's 2 of 3 in my book. We shall see. Oh, he also has good size and build. Probably put on 15 to 20 lbs and be even better. Speed is my only concern.JMO
cornhusker Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Brett Brown for the Dogs is a very good player. He has helped the offense so much being at fullback. The defense has two shutouts with Stampley and Wood in the last two games.
EX-Ceauxch Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 I agree. He looks good on both sides of the ball.
sharkfutbol Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 I will say that Wilson at Kelly may or may not be the best linebacker around . I am not a football specialist. I am a futbol specialist. I do however know that Wilson is probably the biggest reason Kelly is going to be district champions and going to the playoffs. He has been a outstanding leader for the kelly team and kept them focused during games with his play and with his sideline manner. Always walking and reminding them to keep working and agreeing to play or do however much of him is asked. I would say that he is a HUGE REASON we have done so well. With that said, if he is or if he is not the best in the area. He is the best at Kelly and they are going to the playoffs.
