If this is how it pans out there will be some huge games in just the first round. Angleton vs Manvel, Lamar C vs Dawson. Those 2 really stand out. Of course the biggest for me would be PNG vs BH.

The interesting game would be Crosby playing Vidor.

Remember Crosby backed out of a game with Vidor just a couple of years ago stating racial issues why they did not want to schedule Vidor for a home and home.

IMO, Montgomery will finish 17-4A as the D1 #1, but for now that position belongs to Stratford.  Stratford still has to go to Magnolia West this week, and go to Brenham in week 10.  Montgomery also beat Stratford in the head to head game.

D2 looks weak with the exception of Brenham and LaMarque. D1 looks very tough this year!!!

Stratford has had it easy in district up to now the next 3 will be tough with 2 on the road. Montgomery schedule just got alot easier.

Manvel- undefeated & #7 in the state. (key win *beat LaMarque by 2 TD's)

Willis- 5-2 this year, with losses to Kingwood Park & a very good Magnolia West team. (key win *beat summer creek by 2 TD's)

I know Waller hasn't had the best of seasons , but Stratford hasn't impressed me at all this year so let's not put them in the playoffs right yet. There is still alot of football left. We play a beatable Magnolia team, a not so impressive Stratford and a really tough and very good West team. I see no reason we can't win two of three.

Make sure your Bulldogs watch the film of the Benham VS Magnolia West game.  Magnolia West always struggles against Brenham, but plays so well against everybody else.

If Friendswood makes the playoffs instead of Texas City, you can add Manvel to that D2 list.

That's the game out of the three i'm most worried about. They did get beat by Brenham but then turned around and beat Montgomery. I think we have a good chance to win the next two. IMO!

If that happens, I hope Vidor is able not only beat, but run up the score on Crosby pretty good.  I am totally against running up the score but this would be one time when it would be nice to see!
