BMTSoulja1 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Nope. At this point, just a lover of good football. Vidor and PN-G are good football teams. Also, Biaplayer wouldn't let me live this one down if I missed this game as he claims that I skipped out on a PN-G playoff game last year even though he attended a Central playoff game last year. ;D
EX-Ceauxch Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Vidor by 4. PNG will have a few big plays. But I don't think the PNG "D" will be able to handle the ground and pound. Still think it will be close. Turnovers...these could decide the whole game. Wish I could see this one!

invictus Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 I don't think PNG's D can hang for an entire game of it. That will wear just about anyone down.

ndnsrock44 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 pngfan66...I saw in the PA NEWS that Stewart will be starting because of Louviere's injury. It also mentioned Riley starting..that was confusing..is he starting on the D-line or at LB? I would guess D-line.

Evidently we are going with a different look up front to defend the run.

TNTITANS Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Can't wait to get this "rivalry" settled this year. I think the reason it is a real rivalry this year is because of how close both teams are to that coveted spot. Unfortunately we are not usually as close to it and PNG always seems to be close to it. Good luck to both teams. I love my Pirates and there is nothing like the Pirates vs. the Indians! Wish I could go. This year it is Vidor's turn to upset a Homecoming!

Riley is 6' 245lbs.Yes on the D line. I think he is also the strongest player on the team. Remember we have had some good players out on injuries. Alot of them are back and are ready to play.

incognito Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 The Pirates and the Indians are going into this game with a lot of confidence in their team. This will be a huge road test for the Pirates to slow down an offense that avg. 35 points a game, that can score quick and has good skill kids. The Indians on the other hand have struggled to stop the run and will be facing a Vidor team that will line up and try to run over you and take three or four yards, then do it again and again. The key for Vidor coming off a very emotional week with the loss of teammate Matt Thomas is to stay focused and play their game. The key for PN-G is to get into the end zone against a stingy Vidor defense, they seem to have the weapons to do that.....but we will see. Good luck to both teams.

You are supposed to talk trash, call names and predict a blowout for your team. That's what this thread is all about! ;D Just kidding. Nice assessment. I agree 100% with your post. It's nice to see some objectivity.
