Bobkat Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 What if both Orangefield and Hamshire Fannett win out and Silsbee beats WOS???
Bobkat Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 If that happen...Bridge City would be out of the playoffs at 2-3 and WOS would still be in at 4-1 assuming they beat HJ. But the rest would look like this...Silsbee 3-2Orangefield 3-2Hamshire Fannett 3-2not likely to happen, but what if and who makes the playoffs...would it come down to points?? Just curious!!!
WOSgrad Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Okay, let me try this again. In this scenario, the first tiebreaker would be head to head records amongst the tied teams, which would be on help since the teams are all 1-1 against each other. Then it goes to point spreads, Silsbee is at +8, Orangefield +6, and Hamshire-Fannett -14.If HF beats Silsbee by 10 or less, then it is OF and Silsbee. If HF beats Silsbee by 11 or more, the it is OF and HF.[B]DISCLAIMER: BY MAKING THIS POST I AM NOT ENDORSING THE SCENARIO OR PREDICTING THAT THIS SCENARIO WILL OCCUR! I AM JUST ANSWERING THE QUESTION!
Bobkat Posted October 25, 2011 Author Report Posted October 25, 2011 lol thanks WOSgrad, I was just curious

braves24 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Is it true if BC wins out & Silsbee beats WOS by 5 then BC will be district champs?

Rake1 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 What if.....Silsbee loses to WO-S and ends up with 2 losses in districtBC loses to OF and ends up with 2 lossesOF beats BC and ends up with 2 lossesYou go to a tiebreaker with points to decide it?Who has the edge??

A 7 point win would give both BC and Orangefield a -1 point total, with Orangefield getting the nod with the head-to-head win over BC.BC gets in with a win or a loss of 6 points or less to Orangefield.
Skilled95 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 This years 21-3A is very similar to the 2002 and 2003 21-3A district. With all the close games, and to determine who gets the final playoff spots might will come down to head to head and point system.
