Hardin Jefferson! They have 2 Allstate players in Prudhomme and Bosha. They both will average close to 22ppg. Also heard they have a few 6'1 guards that can play.
True But With Silsbees Additions And Silsbee's Talent It Should Be Another Competitive Year In 21-3A!

If I was to but money on any team winning state, it would have to be Jack Yates. I saw them @ the Super 16 Extraganza, and I saw their team when they went 34-0. They are at the same level of talent as the 34-0 team.

Funny, I don't see Yates or Nederland in the poll question listed above.

As for who has the best chance of the two listed above in this thread, HJ has the better chance.

I agree. If I was forced to bet on one of these two teams, I would go with HJ. From what I hear, these teams are equally talented. I would give HJ the edge in coaching, which goes a long way in HS playoffs.

Wow, you just had to go throw Nederland in that comment!  Well unlike most people I have some reality and go outside of this area for TRUE basketball talent.    And AAW if u want my opinion on 3A schools, Mexia will win yalls region again, Best of Luck to HJ and Silsbee on a great year.  (last time I checked the tittle of this thread was "Who has the best chance to win state?" not "Does Silsbee or HJ have a chance at  winning State?" )  ;D ;D ;D

Did you bother to look at the poll that is listed at the top of the thread?

The author of the thread posted the poll in asking who out of Silsbee and HJ had the best chance to win state. Never mentioned Yates or Nederland.

No one asked who would actually win state. (yes I do know that other teams outside this area are better and have better chances) I think I have seen much more basketball than you have my friend. ;)

There is absolutely no reason why HJ shouldn't win state this year. They are loaded!
Lets see........lost easily the best PG that HJ has had in years to Graduation, also lost possibly the best pure outside shooter that HJ has had in years as well!!!!!  Solid team this year?? Yes!!!  Loaded, don't know if you can say that at this point.

In his defense, if one does not realize it's a poll, then I can see where it is open to other teams outside of HJ and Silsbee. In my defense, I like to poke fun at Dove, so I mentioned Nederland. Sorry about that.  ;)

Now that we have opened it up to other teams, I think Humble is the team to beat in our 4A region this year. They bring back 4 starters from last year's team which Nederland beat by 1pt in round 3 (I think it was only 1 pt.). Their 6' 8" post is LOOONG, and their guards are quick!

    • What news station do you watch?…..never mind.    What age are the children you take care of. Refugees from where? Are they in a hospital? Now children compared to criminals…..geeeez. The mayor of Denver and a few governors, including Newsom, have said they will not turn over incarcerated criminals to ICE. This is a felony. They are harboring criminals and fugitives. Gee, I’m so glad you want criminals protected. Anyone who crossed illegally into our country is a criminal. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
    • Sorry sir on my miss count. I was in hurry
    • Are they offering refuge to criminals? Or is it a Trump talking point? Refugees are people who leave their country due to unwarranted prosecution. I actually take care of 2 refugee kids who have complex medical needs   No, refugees are not criminals, and the assumption that they are more likely to be criminals than the general population is incorrect:                                                                                          Research shows immigrants commit crimes at lower rates Immigrants in the United States commit crimes at lower rates than the U.S.-born population, including unauthorized immigrants. This is true across immigrant groups.                  Immigration doesn't raise crime rates Immigrants don't raise crime rates in the communities where they settle. In fact, some studies suggest that immigration can lower crime rates, especially violent crime.                  Anti-immigration politicians have spread a myth Anti-immigration politicians have repeatedly tried to link immigrants to crime, but research shows this is a myth.                  Refugees don't cause crime in Turkey A study found that refugees don't have a causal effect on crime rates in Turkey. In fact, the study found that refugees may have a negative effect on crime rates per capita.
    • I think it's actually the first time ever to get past the second round. Some older folks might try to tell you about Scott High but I wasn't here when that school was around 😆
    • Smith is 78-31 overall and 18-8 in the playoffs. His first three years he went 23-15 overall and 6-3 in playoffs. His Silsbee teams are averaging making 3rd round every year in his 9 years as head coach.
